  • Lowestoft's Shannon Class lifeboat in seen entering the Suffolk Port with a broken down vessel under tow on Sunday 31st March 2024. This was the 16th shout for the station in 2024.
    The current lifeboat arrived on station in 2014 and Lowestoft was the 3rd station in the UK and Ireland to get a Shannon class as its station boat. The lifeboat cost £2,000,000 to build with no funding from the government.
