I am so grateful for "Our Daily Bread"!! The first time I ever realized it existed I was working at a gas station as a clerk 3 years ago. Someone left an "Our daily bread" pamphlet next to the register where I was working. I picked it up started reading and the rest is history! My husband and I listen to the daily devotionals every day before he heads off to work together and we love the documentaries "Our Daily Bread" offers. I am a born again Christian since 2022. The spiritual battle is thick around us and as a new believer leaving behind bad habits having these daily devotionals helps me A LOT.
THANK YOU SAVIOR CHRIST FOR BEING TRUE TO YOUR DIVINE NAME SAVIOR YOU CAME & RESCUED ME FROM A SINNFUL LIFE & ADOPTED ME INTO YOUR ROYAL ETERNAL DIVINE FAMILY I LOVE YOU NOW & ALWAYS SHEPHERD CHRIST amen 💯🙏
I don't mind the music, to be honest. The new format is growing on me, i especially like the music fadeout at the end after asking the question. There's a slight, silent pause for reflection, it's a nice touch.
Gonna be honest, as a UA-camr myself, and a Believer so don’t get offended, but the background music playing while reading from the Bible is a distraction for me. Maybe it’s cool with some listeners, but me personally, I can do with out it. Thanks. Left a Like. Stay safe Daily Bread staff. 🙂✌️
I receive and use the daily devotionals every day, but I already do not like the new way the audio is presented. It feels very disjointed. I follow the audio and read at the same time, and that has helped me immensely. As I see it, and how it works for me... for reading along purposes, I load the devotional, then the scriptures on Bible Gateway (by clicking the links you provide), and then the single scripture, which I may use later for a Facebook post. I then go back and read the insights, which I sometimes feel are meaningful. (The ones by KT Smith seem to follow the devotional and scripture together more closely than those written by others, so I get more from Smith's insights than I do from others.) Once I'm set for reading along, I then click the audio. The devotional starts with something more modern, which makes it more relatable to me, then it goes into Biblical times of the scripture used, which I follow well, and after the devotional, the scripture is read, and then it ends with a prayer, which I sometimes add to silently. For me, that flows so much better than the new way, as the devotional is leading me to understand the scripture. However, the new way of reading the scripture first... well I have forgotten it and am not sure what the lesson is about, nor do I understand the scripture, because I was not led to that understanding by the devotional. The added question or suggestion at the end is a good addition, but the new order of the reading is awful in my opinion. Maybe you should make 3 separate recordings: 1.) The devotional, 2.) the scripture, and 3.) the prayer and question. I know that will mean we have to click for 3 separate recordings, but it will allow everyone to follow it the best way that it works for them. You would only have to make the reader do one audio, and they can be separated in the editing after it's recorded. I ask you to please consider my aforementioned suggestion, because I have a feeling that if I'm forced to follow it the way you now have it, I will quit using the devotionals altogether, as I'm not learning anything from it the way it is now, and if I feel this way, I believe there are others who do as well, but they will not say anything, and I'm sure you do not want to drive people away.
may this year be a better year for all🙏🏿

Thanks for your feedback!
I am a long term listener. Ok with your new format. I do like a theme song at the beginning and end- sort of like bookends.
Thanks!
Great Job On The New Format Love It Glory To God ❤️

We appreciate your feedback and it has been recorded! Thanks so much
I appreciate the scripture at the start. But the music is vying for attention.

Stop the music! It's very distracting !
