Just watched the whole interview, now im gonna go check out the band, i must fly my poser flag again and admit i never heard of his band before, but i know exactly what he meant about blending that boss hm2 tone with another modern metal tone, so now i am heading over to Spotify to check them out.
I'm glad I listened to this interview and learned how to pronounce the band name so I didn't come off like a complete poser when I show up to jam with the local wiggaz and tell them they need to check out "Detroit Rock" because I was def butchering that name (which is fair because my band name gets mispronounced more often then not, that's what we get for being creative and inventing words, right?), because I thought they were paying homepage to the Knights in Satan's Service, but thankfully I have resolved my confusion.
Today I went to a friends funeral and they played this foo fighters song called aurora since my friend was a huge Dave grohl fan. When i go I’m not sure what song I’ll want at my funeral but my friend was also a massive fan of death metal too. He will definitely be missed
Deteriorot and my band have the same drummer and I finally had the opportunity to meet Paul in late January 2024. He is one of the coolest dudes ever, a encyclopedia on metal history and a killer artist, btw the new album "The Rebirth" crushes...
Yo Sponge, i saw shaq with his arm around you at the salty spitoon last night and you were limping with a smile on your face…. he said you’d be getting a GB interview soon.. what the hell was that about, brah brah?
I remember when everyone became a Metallica fan. People had no idea the Black album was the fifth one. They thought it was their first album. People who made fun of me for listening to metal suddenly liked Metallica.
When Justice was fresh is when I found Metallica. Went back to the older ones, 🤘 then the Black album dropped 😢. By then, I had found so much other killer stuff, so nothing else matters.
@corystafford4958 I was into death metal already by the Black album so Metallica wasn't much of a loss to me at that point. First 4 albums are great though.

I just listened to Rotting in Hell last weekend and the NYC hardcore influence really stood out. The vocals are a tad weak if you're talking about Deteriorot in the same category as Incantation or Carcass.
@@PlutoTheGodhave you ever heard Incantation play songs in the vein of early Amorphis, Bolt Thrower, Autopsy, Dismember, Paradise Lost? Absolutely not, it's where we really stand out and and set ourselves apart by really showing other influences

I’m a couple years younger. Spiritual Healing was my introduction to death metal when it came out. I was never really a Metallica fan. But I will admit, that when I saw the video for One. I jumped on that band wagon for 20 minutes

I met Paul at london show when they toured UK last year. Was a good show and cool talking to him. Great interview 🤟
Paul London. Remember that wrestler?
Thank You and it was great meeting all of the London DETERIOROT and Metal fans! We hope to come back next year
How do self avowed metal heads NOT know Deteriorot? OG classic East Coast death metal.
Thank You for the love Craig
I heard about them through the memes they would be post online maybe a year or two ago.. Great interview!! One of my favorites on the channel
Nice! Deteriorot is a damn good band that doesn't get mentioned enough. Bought "In Ancient Beliefs" back in 02 or 03, I believe.
