I appreciate Chris Taylor for his time with the Dodgers and his loyalty to the community ,especially after these fires. But I do think Kiki Hernandez would be a better fit for our team. Chris Taylor hasn’t hit 270 in over four years. More like 220 to 230. And he says he wants to be an everyday player. But he can’t seem to hit major-league baseball anymore at a decent level for average.
The biggest questions for me are: 1) defense (especially the left side of the infield and the corner OF); 2) lack of contact over power hitters to balance the lineup; and 3) health. As far as trade, waive, or lease candidates: Taylor, Brasier, Vesia (yes, vesia), Banda, Pages, Rojas, May, and possibly, Gonsolin and Muncy. These are the players in my opinion, that are the most vulnerable to be moved either for roster space, financial reasonableness, or to upgrade a position. They may also be a part of larger trade packages if the Dodgers are aiming for a potential starter upgrade.
Names on your trade, waive, lease (lease? WTF?) list that are wrong. Gonsolin and May, they won’t give up starting pitching depth with how they always get in a pinch season end and are going 6 man. They didn’t sign Rojas to dump him. Muncy took a team friendly deal and always is good for 30+ hrs, if he stays healthy, has a 850 career ops. Ct3 is your waive piece. All the others, I could see them involved in a trade.
@@livinb450 You need to do the math. 13 pitchers, 13 position players. You need to identify who doesn't have designation options. You need to identify who has any trade value and who has limited or no value. You need to keep in mind who hasn't yet been added to the 40-man much less the 26 (kershaw being one). Stop whining about "the need" to keep everyone and accept the fact difficult roster decisions lie ahead. There are simply not enough slots.
Incorrect on Yates: Ken and Bob both said it's just waiting on a physical to confirm. Ken said this today in an Athletic article, not just Bob reporting it
Smart money is that they are in agreement and just waiting for a roster spot, wether it be a move or spring training beginning and the team able to move guys to the 60 day IL.
My list post-WS was basically “keep Teoscar, Kiké, Buehler, and Treinen and hopefully nab Sasaki…maybe add a good-if-not-ace-level starter.” Welp. No doubt losing WFB hurts and I’m still hoping for Kiké, but wow.
What do you guys think about all the sudden hate towards the World Series Champions Dodgers over the last week? It’s coming from baseball media, owners, fans etc? I heard some people even say MLB should take away some of Dodgers new acquired players and I also heard a giants fan say they should lockdown baseball for a good bulk of Shohei Ohtani’s prime years. I mean talk about hate, they are taking it to another level of hate.
i used to be a big alanna supporter, but the more she tries to implant herself within the dodgers the more i dislike her. “are WE done” girl you’re not with, on, or a part of the team anymore. she seems to have an immense amount of fomo for whatever reason

Chris Taylor is the obvious candidate to move so Kiki can be picked up. Most podcasters expect that.
Just so Happy to know ☺️ that the Great TeOcar Hernandez is Back in Dodgers Blue 💙 🙌 😍 Smartest move 💙 of the Dodgers Off Season 💙 👏

I couldn’t agree with you more. Great breakdown

Dodgers are definitely going to re-sign Kiké. And it's easy to make room for Kiké on the roster.

Alanna you are so fantastic. Thank you for the video. You are the best.

Is it just me or is there an undercurrent of resentment here over the Ohtani effect? Do the hardcore fans not want him around?
