    does Smart sell eSIM at the airport? i think i only saw packages for the actual SIM card

    1500 is a rip off! You can google how much a prepaid sim is and google prepaid loads. Maximum you’ll spend will only be 800 pesos.

    Just get a SIM Card from 7-11... it's cheaper (US$1) then reload whatever amount you wish. Never get your SIM Card from the Airport Arrival lobby -- ripoff!

    • @SAMLAMB
      @SAMLAMB  Рік тому

      I agree with that ripoff stuff. That’s why If I need one in a pinch. I’ll just go to Lawson and buy a SIM card for 50pesos and add my own load. But if you can’t do it. Then there’s other option

    Thanks Sam! You just answered 3 of my questions. 1) Where I will meet my taxi driver upon arrival. 2) Where can I change money? 3) Where I can get a SIM card? Fantastic, I will not get lost! Thanks again!

    Hey Sam! I purchased a gigabits from smart. They said, no expiry n unli. Just load it when I get back home. Any input?

    • @SAMLAMB
      @SAMLAMB  Рік тому

      I think that’s a different package. I’ve haven’t try that one yet…wish I can help. I normally get the 499 pesos plan and it’s for thirty days of free talk and text and lots of gig of data. Let’s say I’ve never run out before 30days..by the way. Don’t leave it on roaming. It will eat your data up. FAST

    Don’t buy SIM card in the airpot it is expensive, you can get in touch with your Friend or GF through messenger, WhatsApp etc…since there is a wifi in the airport anyway, just a suggestions.

    • @SAMLAMB
      @SAMLAMB  Рік тому

      You are absolutely correct. That’s assuming you have a gf to meet…But you can go by Lawson at terminal 3 and buy the sim it’s cheap there. You don’t have to pay that expensive package at the kiosk. If you need to get connected after you leave the airport best to get registered at the airport cuz you need wifi to register

      No, Photos and documents are not saved on SIM cards. They are saved on your Data cards on your phone. Or cloud or an external hard drive. Be safe and have a great trip

    • @SAMLAMB
      @SAMLAMB  Рік тому

      I went back to the kiosk at the airport, as of now the smart kiosk has eSIM but it’s more expensive ( over 2000pesos ) but the data doesn’t expire in 30 days which is nice. Globe doesn’t offer eSIM as of now.

      @@papadougpapadougsadventures I agree, you can also find cheaper ways to get data in the Philippines…but I made this video, so first time travelers can get immediate internet without stress……thank you for the comment papadoug…you have a great day…

    Luckily we use T-mobile, and have free text and data in the Philippines. Gives us time to get to the house then figure out the sim/load.

    • @SAMLAMB
      @SAMLAMB  Рік тому

      Join…thank you for joining us…yeah, make sure you have that international package..I think it’s $10 add on to your TMOBILE. Data is slow but in some places it’s really fast. If you have a friend to show you. Just go to the mall and buy a SIM card for 50pesos. Have your friend register it and show you all the different packages the smart has. I normally use the 499 pesos one. And it’s good for 30days. And every month I do it again. So less than $10 I have great data and unlimited calls and text through smart.

      @@goatman3828 yes, but the problem is. If your phone doesn’t take a 2nd Philippine SIM card and if your phone doesn’t have an international data plan. now what are you going to do? I don’t think they sell phones at the airport. You’ll have to wait til you go to a mall and buy a new phone.

    Have a question when you guys travel do you bring your sims card too or just leave it at home? Also when I change the sims card will all my travel documents be lost or will it still be on the phone? Because all me air flight and hotel information will be on the phone but I guess I can print out copy’s too

    • @SAMLAMB

      I actually travel with two iPhones phones. One with TMOBILE. That one I leave alone cuz you get free data and free text on the international package. I also have an unlocked phone for my Philippine SIM card. To answer your question, you will not lose your contacts or documents cuz that’s saved on the phone not the sim card …hope that helps you out William. Also it’s good to print traveling documents.
