These 3 English songs were not written by bts, they did it during covid because they wanted to do something fun, lighthearted to cheer their fans up during covid. But the general public think bts is these 3 English songs. They write them off as a poppy boy group that gets handed their music, but they’re so far from that Bangtan sonyeondan translates to bulletproof boy scounts. They are all dynamite, when you get into their solo work you will realize their individual talent is phenomenal. 47 yr old ARMY from Romania. Seen the boys live twice and a BTS concert is an experience you'll never recover from. You can't imagine how it feels until you've lived it. It's something extraordinary and totally beyond words. You have them right in front of you but you still can't believe they are real. They are so good that they seem out of this world. Correct over the years I've seen many groups band but nothing compares to BTS. I think they threw the concert rule book out the window when it come's to BTS.

You’re right 7 unique personalities and musical choices that are powerhouses in their individual lanes but when they come together they are one untouchable super group. This was the first BTS MV I watched on my own when it released, though I had heard parts of songs since a daughter is army. I then watched earlier songs like Fake Love, On Kinetic Manifesto, Microkosmos, Spring Day, and was hooked on the lyrics of their songs, which are genius level. I'm a writer from Wyoming with kids in the age range of BTS members. The only cover I can think of right now is Fix You. Most of their discography is written by the members.

2010 was when RM (Namjoon the Leader) an Underground Rapper who was already making a name for himself was seen and heard by another Rapper who Told BigHit about a this young song writer and Rapper. Bang was so impressed he offered RM a place straight away. Talent understands talent then Suga (aka Agust ) a another young underground Rapper and Producer joined him and was taken on as a Rapper Producer ( he Produces for other artists) The 3 Rapper was also part of the Underground Hip Hop scene as a street Dancer with the Street Dance Crew 'Neuron'. He was taken on as a Dancer and found himself surroundered by Rappers and wanted to learn to Rap after talking with Suga he was told 'Rapper has to write their own lyric's' and he did and he learn to Rap practicing in with RM and Suga (Aka Agust D) and their other Rapper Friends. Then the vocalists joined them Jimin was the last a one to join them he had about 6months of training before they Debuted on 13 June 2013. All 7 of them lived together sharing one tiny bedroom in bunk beds as BigHit was going bankrupt and was a tiny company. They built that company which is now the biggest Kpop Company in South Korean and bought out Scooter Braun company in the USA. They built HYBE on their 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' (title of one of their tracks) and are shareholders.

BTS has two sides, it has very popular songs like Dynamite, Butter or Permission to Dance that are bubbly songs good to the mood and that capture the general public and then the're songs with deeper meanings that will take you down the rabbit hole. "Fire" is one of my favorites when it comes to the harder hitting songs, also love "So What", "Mic Drop" (w/Steve Aoki) is an epic diss track featuring the rappers, "ON Kinetic Manifesto" will blow your hat off, they have hundreds of amazing songs! There's sooooooo much goodness - it would be fun to back to the beginning and check "Danger" too - they came out of the gate swinging!
The member at the end in blue who puts on his glasses is our Jazz King V and one of 2 saxophone players in the group RM being the other Saxophone player in fact RM is playing Saxophone while in the military in a military band. Edited to add V has a song coming out (while he's serving in the military) so he'll not be promoting it as they can't by law work while serving. The oldest member is 32 the youngest is 5 years younger. 5 are serving in the military and 2 have finished their military service they are all solo artist and all have record breaking solo albums but then they've always had solo work which started out with the Rapper's first of course. They also have solo work within BTS albums. ARMY is the name of the Fandom it stands for Adorable Representative M.C for Youth and the BangTan Sonyeondan which in English means 'Bulletproof Boys Scouts'. So they are often referred to as Bangtan, BTS or Bangtan Boys. In songs you'll hear them refer to themselves as Bangtan and Bulletproof.
Dynamite was my introduction to BTS in 2020. Senior ARMY here and we have quite a tribe in this fandom. They are beyond kpop. They have songs in different genre. I live in the boonies of upstate NY and this morning went to the grocery store; the overhead music was playing slightly loud. They played a male country artist, female country artist, Dynamite then more country. Once you see/hear BTS you will find them all over your life in a million little ways. Love them so much. I am a millennial metal head /alternative rock fan. Like….I go to so many festivals 😂 Became an ARMY/fan in 2015 and no lie, a BTS concert gives the same feeling (actually better) than most festivals/rock concerts I’ve been too. I’m sure you know that energy/feeling I’m talking about. The atmosphere is crazy and the adrenaline rush is amazing. Been to four of their concerts 😂 plan to go in 2025/26 when they decide to tour again. Can’t wait!!!
All the members released solo albums before having to go in the military. Except Jin who just released his when he got out. 5 of the members will be out in June of 2025. Military is mandatory in South Korea. I am 55 and grew up on rock and metal, and BTS is my favorite group. I would recommend Blackswan or Micdrop, but make sure you turn on the CC
The Leader is RM the group was built around he's a Rapper and one of the main song writers (he also writes for other artists) that doesn't mean he take the front role in the way western Band/Group Leaders do. He's more the go between with the company tries to keep the other in order they are pretty crazy at time, he's the spokes person for them when English is required more and they others understand more English than they can speak RM is fluent in English and in Japanese he's a polygot. He tries to keep them all in order at Award Show's and encourages them to make Award Show Acceptance speeches but he's just crazy as the rest of them. Oh he breaks everything and they are always teasing him for breaking things.

I'm a Canadian (recently moved to Spain) and I am bigtime ARMY. Their English songs aren't really representative of the bulk of their massive discography (probably over 400 songs between them at this point). Their B side songs are as good as (and as popular as) their A sides. They are dominating worldwide for sure and surprisingly appeal to a lot of Metalheads. I hope you will dive into all of their various music...they are sooooooo worth a deep dive and they do a ton of genres. It's something extraordinary and totally beyond words. You have them right in front of you but you still can't believe they are real. They are so good that they seem out of this world. Most beautiful and humble human beings you'll find in the entertainment world.
Correct over the years I've seen many groups band but nothing compares to BTS. I think they threw the concert rule book out the window when it come's to BTS.

You’re right 7 unique personalities and musical choices that are powerhouses in their individual lanes but when they come together they are one untouchable super group. I know they don’t like the comparison but I’m OG Beatles and they remind me of them so much except they’re more stable and I can’t see them ever breaking up because of the petty crap like the Fab 4 did.💜

This was the first BTS MV I watched on my own when it released, though I had heard parts of songs since a daughter is army. I then watched earlier songs like Fake Love, On Kinetic Manifesto, Microkosmos, Spring Day, and was hooked on the lyrics of their songs, which are genius level. I'm a writer from Wyoming with kids in the age range of BTS members. The only cover I can think of right now is Fix You. Most of their discography is written by the members.

2010 was when RM (Namjoon the Leader) an Underground Rapper who was already making a name for himself was seen and heard by another Rapper who Told BigHit about a this young song writer and Rapper. Bang was so impressed he offered RM a place straight away. Talent understands talent then Suga (aka Agust ) a another young underground Rapper and Producer joined him and was taken on as a Rapper Producer ( he Produces for other artists) The 3 Rapper was also part of the Underground Hip Hop scene as a street Dancer with the Street Dance Crew 'Neuron'. He was taken on as a Dancer and found himself surroundered by Rappers and wanted to learn to Rap after talking with Suga he was told 'Rapper has to write their own lyric's' and he did and he learn to Rap practicing in with RM and Suga (Aka Agust D) and their other Rapper Friends. Then the vocalists joined them Jimin was the last a one to join them he had about 6months of training before they Debuted on 13 June 2013. All 7 of them lived together sharing one tiny bedroom in bunk beds as BigHit was going bankrupt and was a tiny company. They built that company which is now the biggest Kpop Company in South Korean and bought out Scooter Braun company in the USA. They built HYBE on their 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' (title of one of their tracks) and are shareholders.

BTS has two sides, it has very popular songs like Dynamite, Butter or Permission to Dance that are bubbly songs good to the mood and that capture the general public and then the're songs with deeper meanings that will take you down the rabbit hole. These songs address topics such as social pressure, mental health, self-esteem and various other things. Their discography goes through conceptual arcs based on works of literature and psychology. I second someone's recommendation of J-Hope's "More" - he knocked ARMY right out of their chairs with that one - you could hear chins hitting the floor all over the world - haha! "Fire" is one of my favorites when it comes to the harder hitting songs, also love "So What", "Mic Drop" (w/Steve Aoki) is an epic diss track featuring the rappers, "ON Kinetic Manifesto" will blow your hat off, they have hundreds of amazing songs! There's sooooooo much goodness - it would be fun to back to the beginning and check "Danger" too - they came out of the gate swinging!
The member at the end in blue who puts on his glasses is our Jazz King V and one of 2 saxophone players in the group RM being the other Saxophone player in fact RM is playing Saxophone while in the military in a military band.
Edited to add V has a song coming out (while he's serving in the military) so he'll not be promoting it as they can't by law work while serving. But the song with a postumuos colabration with the late great Bill Crosby. The song being 'White Christmas' he also has a MV of a alive stage peformance of 2 old jazz numbers called Jazz de V.

The oldest member is 32 the youngest is 5 years younger. 5 are serving in the military and 2 have finished their military service they are all solo artist and all have record breaking solo albums but then they've always had solo work which started out with the Rapper's first of course. They also have solo work within BTS albums. ARMY is the name of the Fandom it stands for Adorable Representative M.C for Youth and the BangTan Sonyeondan which in English means 'Bulletproof Boys Scouts'. So they are often referred to as Bangtan, BTS or Bangtan Boys. In songs you'll hear them refer to themselves as Bangtan and Bulletproof.

I live in the boonies of upstate NY and this morning went to the grocery store; the overhead music was playing slightly loud. They played a male country artist, female country artist, Dynamite then more country. Once you see/hear BTS you will find them all over your life in a million little ways. Love them so much. Their songs are like therapy sessions with a beat you can bop to. Can't wait for you to discovery them more. This song is an anomaly in their discography. It's bright, poppy and not too deep lyrically, like their other two all English songs, Butter and Permission to Dance. All were put out during the pandemic as mental health pick-me-ups for the world. BTS often write songs with mental health messaging as well.
BTS are a hip hop based genius artist collective (not really a boy band - that label is too limiting and doesn't fit them in many ways.) They have a very diverse catalog spanning rap and hip hop, pop, pop-rock, rap-metal, RnB, blues/jazz, neo-soul, instrumental ballads, folk, citipop, EDM, funk and more! They have no bad songs. Every one of their 20 group albums and their 15 solo albums among members is a concept album with tracks in storytelling order, some in sets based on themes. They later extended the meaning to also be Beyond the Scene, signifying their continued growth and development as people and as artists.

I am a millennial metal head /alternative rock fan. Like….I go to so many festivals 😂 Became an ARMY/fan in 2015 and no lie, a BTS concert gives the same feeling (actually better) than most festivals/rock concerts I’ve been too. I’m sure you know that energy/feeling I’m talking about. The atmosphere is crazy and the adrenaline rush is amazing. Been to four of their concerts 😂 plan to go in 2025/26 when they decide to tour again.

All the members released solo albums before having to go in the military. Except Jin who just released his when he got out. 5 of the members will be out in June of 2025. Military is mandatory in South Korea. I am 55 and grew up on rock and metal, and BTS is my favorite group. I would recommend Blackswan or Micdrop, but make sure you turn on the CC
The Leader is RM the group was built around he's a Rapper and one of the main song writers (he also writes for other artists) that doesn't mean he take the front role in the way western Band/Group Leaders do. He's more the go between with the company tries to keep the other in order they are pretty crazy at time, he's the spokes person for them when English is required more and they others understand more English than they can speak RM is fluent in English and in Japanese he's a polygot. He tries to keep them all in order at Award Show's and encourages them to make Award Show Acceptance speeches but he's just crazy as the rest of them. Oh he breaks everything and they are always teasing him for breaking things.

I'm a Canadian (recently moved to Spain) and I am bigtime ARMY. Their English songs aren't really representative of the bulk of their massive discography (probably over 400 songs between them at this point). Their B side songs are as good as (and as popular as) their A sides. They are dominating worldwide for sure and surprisingly appeal to a lot of Metalheads. I hope you will dive into all of their various music...they are sooooooo worth a deep dive and they do a ton of genres. I enjoyed your Netherlands vlog....I spent a week travelling around The Netherlands in June.
Whether is joyous pop to chear up ARMY up post covid or deep and dark lyrics full of Jungian references. Social commentary, or the most exquisite poetical ballads. Hard rap or club music because each member is a star soloist within BTS albums and with their own music. They all have different tastes so BTS covers every genre from jazz R&B, to hip hop to pop rock. They have been together between 12to 14 years, as they were gradually formed around leader RM. Suga of BTS is the ambassador for the US NBA. Jin and J Hope have both finished their 18 months in the army both passing the grueling tests to be elite warriors. Jimin has a also achieved early promotion and rlite warrior status. V is in the Special Forces. Jungkook is in the militairy police and also acts as cook gor his unit. RM isvplaying sax in the militairy band. Several members are near the border which leaves ARMY fans earthed as the NvS Korea situation is very tense right now with N Korea having blown up bridges on the border.
Rm is the leader. And BTS is so much more that k-pop. Hip hop, edm, ballad, etc.

BTS fanbase is called ARMY LOL Not AN ARMY, not The ARMY, not BTS ARMY, just ARMY.
It fits with the theme of Bulletproof. It's an acronym for Adorable Representative MC for Youth. BTS special fan meetings/concerts are called Musters. The logo for BTS used to be a bulletproof vest but was later changed to a pair of opening doors. ARMY also has a matching logo that looks like a shield, but when paired with the BTS logo is can make a stylized bulletproof vest. The themes of bullet/bulletproof/ARMY/military are used many times throughout their work.
