7:22 You missed the lines where Togame said "I know nothing about that." and "So that's why you guys were there." Basically, Togame didn't know that Bofurin guys were there because those Shishitoren shit heads were chasing a middle schooler around. When he got there, one of the Shishitoren punks was knocked out so he thought that Bofurin picked a fight with them for no reason.

yeah and hiiragi's explanation of what happened was that shishitoren was chasing "one of ours". so togame just assumed "one of ours" meant one of the bofurin members, not a middle school kid
Just because you seemed to be confused by it:
Togame didn't know that the beef started with his guys going after a middle school kid. Hiragi just told him in that episode that "they went after one of our guys" or something, so Togame just assumed it was a member of Bofurin. So, when he found out that all this started because they were beating up a basically defenseless younger kid for funsies, he got real mad and beat them up for it. Which makes a ton of sense considering that his backstory has shown that he's actually a pretty great guy.

Yuh when I read the manga I firstly thought he was more a villain till the backstory pulled up n his sense of character showed out
My theory is Togame realized that he failed in keeping Shishitoren as it was because Haruka called it "Bully Club" - That might have been something that went tru his mind when he saw Choji body the guys that lost. And one of the reasons that he didn't fight him then and there was bc it would just confirm this fact, no matter the outcome.
Now he feels like losing the fight and being kicked out is the only way he can be punished for letting this happen.
This is a good depiction of a toxic relationship. I noticed with his eyes...how he had dark circles when we are first introduced to him, how they look tired and this is why. And I'm glad Sakura really had this conversation with him😌. Listened to the captain - make it a long talk. Now Togame is re-evaluating his values and actions.
Wind Breaker and Kaiju No.8 have been hitting since the first eps. Absolutelt love these 2 anime

Just caught up in this and just got done watching Kaiju No. 8 episode 1 and I’m already hooked.
Just an FYI, from what I understand Choji is the leader because he's literally the strongest there, not because togame let him.
Togame didn't know blondie and man bun were beating up a middle schooler. He thought it was bofurin picking a fight because one of their members was out cold. Now he knows why bofurin was on their turf and mad at the other two because they were just bullying the middle schooler and not fighting bofurin like togame thought they were.

The reason Togame beat Arima and Kanuma is because they were beating up on someone defenceless and weaker than them, which is what Togame does not like. He didn't know that was the reason why Furin got involved in the first place and now that he knows that, he decided to punish them two for it. That was why he stopped fighting Saukra to go and deal with them.
Togame is my favorite WB character. Im glad you finally got to see the reason why 🔥
I read the manga and I still dont know which one is stronger but I assure you, Choji is HIM!. He reminds me of Akashi(the orginal Akashi) from KNB

@@pink_roses It was announced last weekend by the mangaka at the 10th anniversary event that the second season of ACT II ins in production. More information date of release and production company will be announced later. Even the voice actors attending the event were surprise by the announcement.

i mean he does give off the vibe that he is the strongest. choji is obviously strong but for the most part he just seems mentally insane that’s really it to be honest

Togame didn’t know that the other two were picking on a middle schooler because remember he got there shortly after Bofurin showed up and when Hiragi said “one of our guys” Togame just assumed that he meant a member of Bofurin he never knew the real reason why the beef started.

Yeah idk why some reactors are struggling so much with understanding this episode lol. Why would you think Togame is dissociating or has a split personality when he went over to talk to the two Shishitoren goons. Nothing against Lax but oof that was rough (although it did make me laugh). Some reactors have grasped the reasoning behind Togame's behaviors but others are having a hard time understanding even though Togame himself explains it pretty clearly.

Cant believe Shishitoren ist probably the 3rd strongest Team up to date to the Manga eventho they got destroyed by Bofurin. Ume trashed em Kids and they became real Lions 😂

It has been hinted over and over again that this change done by Chouji had made Shishitouren weaker, hence why they deserved all their losses. Under normal circumtances, Shishitouren is much stronger, which is proven by what happened in the current arc in the manga.
Wind Breaker isn't just about the stronger ones win. One's mental state can effect the outcome, which is also true in real life. At this point of the story, Shishitouren is on the verge of breaking down. If they win, they would have learned nothing. Chouji has become stronger because of his loss. Togame at this point of the story is stronger than Sakura, but his conviction was weak, hence his loss. Notice how he started off overpowering Sakura up until he learned the truth of what happened.
