Hi Bud, love your content, it actually brought me to the game and I have to say I am having so much fun. Now, not to increase your workload but could you please at some time upload a guide for a new player on how you would level if you were a new account, for example which quests, a few tips on what the early goals should be, what to do at mid game and when you hit 20 before you reincarnate for the first time.
Most of the guides are way out of date and would love it with someone with your knowledge to get noobs like myself a quick video to help us orient ourselves in the game.
Super dope video dawg. Very informative and easy to understand.thanks for the OG content!!
Benefit to the Intelligence build is the use of the Harper tree for the melee/range builds, and if you want trapping skills. We do now have the Feydark Illusionist which pairs very well with the Warlock for Cha to hit/damage as well as bonuses to Force power and abilities.
Truly excellent and helpful guide, would be even better if you included a recommended gear set like the one you did on Assasin!! Thank you :)
Maximize doesn't affect the pact damage, but does affect the base damage, or any changes to that base damage whether piercing or alignment based like Utterdark
Just in case it was confusing, Enhancements like Eldritch Burst, Spirit Blast, Consume, Stricken, and Eldritch Wave ARE affected by metamagics. The normal blast you do without any enhancements are NOT affected. So metamagics like maximize can still be very useful depending on your build. The spell Evard's Black Tentacles is worth maximize alone /drool. It is an amazing spell!
How would you go about building a strictly AOE based warlock? would you suggest going melee warlock, or spell based warlock. IDK. I want to make an AOE character but I don't know how to go about building an AOE character.
Is there any reason to NOT go straight Tainted Scholar? I tend to play primarily damage characters and to stick with single trees (primarily that's a bit of my OCD and I like just sticking with one tree so things don't get overly complicated) way back when I was playing DDO before i retired for a LONG TIME. And I only recently returned in 2020 and i never could really understand Warlock all the well back then. I have watched both of your videos and it has been very enlightening in regards to spell power, Equipment, etc still a little rough on feats and skills though.
Awesome guide.
I'd started new as a Warlock after 3 Sorcerer racial tr's and you can't use Cone shape till the end of Level 3. That means you cannot make aoe damage at the very beginning. Also targeting another issue because focused blast generally doesn't hit mobs that move fast like bats, crows, or in front of you. So you have a tiny challenge if you played Sorc or Wizard before. So using entangle for cc helps at first levels especially quest like cannith crystal.
I am looking forward to this build and how you equip at specific levels. I currently play a Warlock, but is Fey and a burster not a blaster. Waiting to see which is better for me. I have a new toon ready to mold and play. Ready for the next installment video.
check out voodu spyce. he has great warlock tips
Hey strim does this build still work after all the new pacts?
Could you do a leveling build for using Fey illusionist tree?
Does your Guild take members Tom?
Plus with Fey pact you need to waste skill point in Proformences for Sonic damage.
Now as a beginner i found that i have 28 points on what should i spend it exactly for advice it will be better if you start a new character while describe your idea
I just had a question. Since the there been added 2 more pacts. Which one are now days the best to do, still great old one?
The new pacts are mostly good flavour.
Fiend - Amazing instant kills
Celestial - Currently Bugged Instant Kills
Great Old one - Universal damage application (acid)
The other three (fey, carceri storm, and abyss) are all very cool and interesting, but they aren't as strong. But that's ok, Ice warlock looks the coolest and I recommend everyone try it anyway.
can i use my BG3 pala lock build in DDO
Just made my first one. Really easy to play. It casts magic, does damage but don´t spend any mana doing it. So the mana can go for CC our defensive spells like displacement or false life. False life is almost infinite hitpoints. And it can use scrolls.
Maybe an lvl 8 warlock have more dps than a lvl 18 bow ranger. Plus you don´t even have to aim because of the chain damage. Don´t understand why people say it´s bad in epics.
Looks like a class made to play with an joystick on tv. Not really D&D but very good to a returning player like me that want to know the new content but don´t know the quests and don´t got the itens.
Warlock is great for returning players.
People say it is bad in epics because at level 30 and when trying to push endgame it has the lowest damage potential of all the spell casters, and falls below most ranged/melee characters. Bow characters might not do as well in heroics, but at level 30 you can start slapping people for over 100k damage in one shot with your bow, which you cannot do with eldritch blast.
Good to know, tks. I think that there are enought people going for dps and have always been so I always like the CC and heals way of play.
Never made a druid but really wants to try an healing version.
I read somewhere a while back that Perform also helps your Eldritch Blast. Is this true or have I been wasting skill points on Perform?
Perform increases your sonic spellpower. If you are a feypact warlock you deal sonic damage as your pact damage, and perform will increase your damage.
The other pacts don't deal sonic damage, so if you chose great old one (acid) or fiend (fire) you are getting no benefit from perform.
@@Strimtom you know how mad fey pacts are when they realize that perform isnt a warlock skill(it should at least for the fey pact locks)
Just started a Warlock 2/ Bard1 with Perform was wondering same thing
Makes me sad that the Cone Effect that looks Bugged for the Halfling ... is actually Standard on how it's supposed to look ... My Tiefling's EB Cone looks exactly the same. :-(
what armor (or cosmetic, if it is cosmetic) are you wearing?
These are the cosmetics from the keep in the borderlands bonus items in the ddo store
@@Strimtom thank you. Will save for that
what are we talking aboot today?
Hey, what's the best server in 2021? I'm fixing to finally reach end-game in this. Thanks.
www.playeraudit.com/ can be used to track player populations. This might help you pick a server. I play on Argonessen for example, and it is also the highest population.
cone 4 life
I just discovered eldritch burst has asf chance. That was disappointing
Are you on Kyber?
Argonessen
Very sloppy from the devs, they should go over all these "attacks" and name them properly.
