Great to see the bench is working out well, parts shelf/drip tray support, and a good height (didn't hear one back achy groan in the entire vid!!). A deep dive for sure, but thorough methodology and patience is winning the day. Well done!!! Cheers, Andy.
Great to see that you are having a go at fixing the starter problem. Just take your time and i am sure you will get there. It's always good to take plenty of photos or video to look back on.
just a tip for casing bolts if you have a place the bolts into the casing irrespective of the length of the bolts they all stick out the same amount before being tightened, its a help if you ever get an engine in the future that is fully stripped before you get it, the main thing to note is if any of the bolts have a small oil seal on them, there is generally an odd one or two on things like sumps and side casings, I hope that makes sense :)

Thanks for the tips!
excellent progress - you are a braver man than I !
Brave or daft?
Interesting project, brave man!!
There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity!

Makes sense to me, unless of course you put a shorter bolt on a longer hole! 🙂
Look at the oil spill as waterproofing the bench.

Cheap plastic takeaway tubs from a rather large online retailer are excellent for jobs like this.
It's easy isn't it...

I have never really had problems taking things apart. Putting them back together though...
