Thanks for plugging this video on mine - really enjoyed this! As soon as I saw that embarkation queue, I was delighted to see you found the suite-only one - what a different experience you got, ha! This ship looks so beautifully traditional - it's so funny how Royal Caribbean offer this product alongside their huge megaships - they couldn't be much more different! Also, THAT ROOM!
Thanks Fraser, I know, couldn’t be more different from the newer mega ships. Definitely prefer this size of ship, although I wouldn’t mind some of the newer features and entertainment. We got very very lucky with our upgrade on this cruise. Such a great suite and the extra suite only benefits made a massive difference as well!
Very fun to see, because my sister and I were in the very same suite, transatlantic from Barcelona to Florida in 2022.. I think we counted 36 drawers. That's great you managed to pay so much less for the suite. I researched a lot, I'm in my 60's; all we wanted was to stare out to sea for many days, so it was the perfect ship to us, and only a handful of kids, and only half-full. It was about $9000 not counting extras, which was a splurge, but crossing the ocean was on my bucket list, and it was 100% worth it for the comfort. Thank you for showing what a Caribbean itinerary would be like. I would not choose it.
You and your wife are much like me. “This place gets packed” “there’s a lot of kids” “we had to sit with people who weren’t very nice” I HATE going places that are packed and crowded. That’s why cruises just don’t appeal to me. If I did go on one, I’d make sure it’s adults only.
Absolutely a awesome review you made here, am impressed with the way you presented this video / a great full tour of this Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas., Ocean Cruise. An ideal option for anyone thinking about doing a cruise of a lifetime holiday, that upgrade to an Owners Suite was a win win bonus.
Very comprehensive. A cruise isn't my choice of holiday at all (too many people) but nevertheless I enjoyed watching what it was like onboard. Swimming with turtles would definitely have been the highlight for me.
We were on the same cruise as you!, We continued as a b2b with the Jewel Transatlantic to Southampton. Arrived there last Saturday. We like the Jewel, although it is an old ship - now in Europe it is in dry dock in Brest, France for refurbishment. We liked the Transatlantic Crossing much more than the short caribbean since there were just toooooooo many kids there. The noise level, the cramped feeling with everything - just too much.

Thankfully our next one is adults only!

That transatlantic sounds much more relaxing! I did enjoy our ports though!
