I agree with your path. I think going self taught before going to boot camp also helped me tremendously as well.
I agree! I'm so glad I went the route that I did even though it wasn't technically intentional lol
This was insightful! I love how you mentioned that you should still be prepared to self-study and really just continue learning on your own, if you're self-taught or go to a bootcamp. Plus it seems like professional software engineers are always learning still.
Exactly! You have to keep up with it or you will lose a lot of the skill!
Thanks for sharing your journey, I really enjoy the way you approach things and details, especially about the learning style (learning by doing even if you barely grab the concept in the lecture, soooooooooo true). I also feel the modo "Pursue learning in any way that works for you" actually might change over time, as you actually get more comfortable about being uncomfortable :) Would you consider doing some videos about career development? sounds really interesting :)
I definitely can! Career development is super important! Thank you so much for watching
Very informative!!!
thank you!
Hey Nicole, Thanks for sharing! Intensity is my biggest concern... How did it all click for you given the pace of the program? I'd imagine that there will be many concepts that I will be clueless about - I see it as being extremely problematic moving on when things aren't clear.
Most of the program I was super confused but had moments near the end where everything started to click and make sense but it took daily practice, building and working with others for that to happen. Moving on even though I didn't understand was scary but I just had to trust that it would work out and it did
@@nicoleyoungtech Sounds about right- thanks for sharing ; )
Which boot camp you went?
I went to Fullstack Academy!
Code along please
That is such a good idea! I will definitely have to plan one out when I start a new project:)
@@nicoleyoungtech I'll be there!
Does the course cost?
the bootcamp did yes! But I received a scholarship that was available through the program
@@nicoleyoungtech How did you receive the scholarship? Do you have a video on this?
