The tempo is quarter note =124
I am using Zebrawood sticks and a Pearl Philharmonic cast aluminum 14 x 6.5" Snare Drum with a Remo hazy diplomat batter head.

Great! The first quarter note in the sheet must be written wrong though.

Hi Rick! I wondered if you could comment on that first quarter note in the first bar. It should be a 1/16th right? I was just discussing the different ways of writing this with a drummer friend. I prefer to use the triplet or 12/8 transcriptions that ive found online when teaching this to students. Any thoughts?

If you are in 12/8 the first note would be an 8th note followed by 4 16ths which would comprise the 1st 3 eighth notes of that bar.
