Watching this method with that DSMB , all im seeing is potential snag hazards , having the webbing triangle so close to the regulator it looks to easy to get that looped around the regulator ....
I can see your point! But do you not think every use of a line is a potential snag hazard? It is in the organised way, the slowing down, that prevents snag hazards from occurring. For me, snag hazards occur when you are unorganised and in a rush. But hey! This is just my opinion. It does not mean it it the right answer.
@@scuba-amy hi thanks for the reply .. yeah I agree that every line has that potential to become a hazard .. I’m sure for the most it’s problem free ... For me it just seemed like an unnecessary risk to have that webbing triangle at the bottom of the dsmb so close to your regs . In the pool it wouldn’t be an issue , but 30m down when it’s dark with a little tide and drift is a bit more concerning , imagine it getting snagged on your reg .... I read about incidents with people shooting to the top caught up .. Good vids tho 😘
Thanks buddy! This is filmed at the London School of Diving, located in west London. It offers great instruction. I would highly recommend them as a dive centre.
@@deniztorun48 how about you ‘try harder’ and do it properly with an oral inflate SMB. The method suggested in the video has potentially less snag hazards than sticking you alternate air source into the bottom of the bag as you suggest. It also doesn’t involve purging your regulator and risk a free flow.
Great explanation! I’m gonna subscribe to your channel as I love it when someone explains things nicely!!!
Nice cheeky little video haha - thank you! It’s fun watching how everybody does this.
Good video Amy......fascinating and informative. I like em 👍🏻

SCUBA AMY yeah will do. Great stuff, maybe a mask removal video or bail in would be good ones, if you haven’t done them already haha x
@@dazza944 watch this space! I think I will have at least a mask removal video coming out soon. Lets see!
SCUBA AMY I’ll keep my eyeballs peeled haha

Thanks buddy! 😜 and thank you for your comments too! It's helpful for others to see different opinions and thoughts.
I agree I use to use this method but I either use my octo or I use a closed smb mostly now after mine flipped at surface
That smb is for surface only because it has no relief valve.
The bottom is open, extra air can escape….
Very good way of doing DSMB. I will give you 100👍 if possible! Good job Amy!
Excellent video, very easily explained. I like the pool, where is it?

@@scuba-amy thanks Amy. Sounds like a great place. Unfortunately I live north of Manchester. Lol
Awesome
you should never put your finger in the spool like that
that's what i have been thought.
And this is why I use AP Valves, what a faff....
scuba diving is a faff! 🤣🤣🤣
Probably the worst method and demonstrates why it's a poor way todo it.
Works for me... 💃💃💃
That's not how you should do it...
I am sorry but it didn’t even filled with air and i think it is your way to deploy
I know right! Practise makes perfect.
@@scuba-amy not trying to be rude but try harder and find the proper way to deploy smb which is with an alternative air source like your octo
