Cabana Bay Beach Resort was awesome too. Very similar layout to Surfside and Universal's other hotels but I loved the 50/60s theme. I think I enjoyed the resort more than Universal Studios theme park itself. Working out, cooling off at the pool, pigging out on pizza and then taking it easy. Probably because I was spent from endless work and this was the first relaxation in ages.

absolutely agreed! Staying in at the resort is completely underrated. It's great just to have a stress-free stay at a hotel
