i think its realistic for a circuit like Baku or Monaco in a 100% race. If the SC comes out 3 times in Barcelona or Bahrain, that would be unrealistic in my opinion.
Bear in mind, the AI of this build are kind of broken. They are overly cautious and passive with overtaking and getting overtaken because the marbles of the track make them too slow and cautious. Gonna be fixed for the final release though.

I've always done 100%, even though I am a newb with a wheel and need assists I feel the only way to learn is that way. Just go for it! Makes for a long race (heck try NASCAR 250 lap raced).
when I did champ season in 2015, I did 100% on the tracks I loved, and 50% on tracks I didn't like. the 50% ones were better races because cars were closer together

Now you are going to want to run as much practice as possible which is great. I also wonder whether running 50% or 100% races should make any difference to your R&D points.

there is no such things as the game engine is modeled for something. They are both shape. It is just how much work has been put into them. The chars do like a bit creepy from time to time and I think they were a bit better in 2015
That Sauber and the Mclaren shouldn't have been able to drive after they smashed their rear suspensions into the wall if Codemasters would get the damage model straight and realistic. Good video anyway Ben :)
As Max Verstappen once said, 'NO!' There is a realistic number of safety cars for what happens, say if a front wing is lost. So just make it so the AI cause less safety cars, not safety cars not coming out too much.
Ben, don't you think its kind of ridiculous how Vettel managed to lap almost 2 seconds faster in this race than Rosberg's real fastest lap? This just tells me that this difficulty is beyond the level that real F1 drivers achieve.

Currently in my third race of a 100% race season been good couple of rounds so far that simulation damage can make things interesting. Very tactical too.
They really need to allow us to adjust the helmet view and they need to fix that shifting animation. I dont think it's too realistic to take your entire hand off to pull a paddle...
He acutally recorded this at home. Codemasters gave him an early Career Preview build where you can race the first 4 races in Career and do quick races.
Hey mate; can't wait looks great! I've subbed. Just have a few questions about the race starts. In the other F1 games to get the best most consistent start you just maxed the RPM.. The car would bog down at anything less. In this game you pull the clutch (hold button) but: 1) Is it a case of maximum RPM before dropping the clutch? Or do you have to modulate the gas based on traction available? E.g 75% gas at some circuits... less gas for slippier starts? It seems obvious but in every other game maximum power was always the best way to go. 2) I plan on going straight into the career at max difficulty and practising a lot. Is it possible within the game to do practice starts in a race weekend or is the formation lap your only chance? 3) When going from 0MPH do you always have to engage the clutch or is that mechanic only for the race start? 4) Can you place rubber down from spinning your wheels in your grid box? Cheers! The clutch start mechanic is something I've always wanted. Having control over your start is great - I just hope it's possible to get into the habbit of nailing starts with no wheelspin by knowing the amount of traction (will take some time at each circuit). I'm worried it'll just be a case of pull the clutch & floor the car to get off the line quickest. Cheers mate!
I wish they added a button when you go into the pits and when you have minor front wing damage you can choose whether you want to change the front wing or not, it is kinda annoying when you pit with minor front wing damage and they change it.
Engine wear may be cause by your revs on the downshifts. Wait just a little bit to change down in the braking zones, and the revs won't spike nearly as much, which will be very useful over a season with the limited amount of engines.
Honestly said, the Ultimate AI doesn't seem at all to be that hard to beat, especially in a Mercedes. It's about right, or could be even harder to catch. It's just about practicing and getting the most of your car, so nobody should think that Ultimate AI should be slowed down.

Turn 8 isn't really that bad I think. In the games, AI doesn't take advantage of the inside line. They always leave room on the outside which results in the opening side-by-sides to last a long time. In real life and any respectable online race, Turn 8 will usually be single file.

Is it me or those characted model look like a PS3 game? I know this is a racing game but they look odd for a current gen game.
The game engine is modeled for cars not really player models. That's why.
I find the Character Models decent. There are not great but ok and the Engine is more based on Car Models.

If you go 2 wide or even if it's just the ai battling one of them will drive into the wall
