BEST TIP for Rendering Photorealistic Materials!
Вставка

- In this video, learn a very important tip for making your materials look photorealistic inside your renderings! Maps are additional image files that your rendering program can read and use to make your materials look more realistic.
They can make your materials look 3D, as well as making the way that your lighting in your rendering reacts with your materials significantly more realistic!

well structured tutorial with simple steps resulting a realistic output! well done and keep posting :)
Awesome - glad you liked it! :)
Thx a lot !
No problem!
What Vray version do you have? And how I make the information show on the right side below the frame buffer? Sometimes the window that shows percentage of the render dissapears, I think is helpful the way you have it but I don't know how to put it like that, or does it come with the version of Vray that you have? Sorry if my English is too awful 😆
I'm running 3.6, but I think the information on the right pops up by clicking the buttons in your render window...
my render went from zero to hero. thanks to this
Glad it helped!

3ds max tutorial pls.
Never used Max before...
From where we can download good quality materials nd their maps ?
You mean in addition to the Poliigon link in the notes below the video?
What would you prefer for rendering CPU OR GUP?
Depends on your PC really - if you have a high end GPU, probably GPU. If not, then whatever's faster?
Another good vid. 👍 Thea need to give you a free copy of their renderer as it’s great but poor support from users on UA-cam.
Glad you liked it!
Yes thea please...😊
I'll have to pitch the idea of a free copy to Thea via the forum as their videos are really crap.
Can you do a video like this for Twinmotion Please!!!!!
Should have something similar tomorrow, though it will be more bump maps than displacement. If you want displacement, you're more going to need to work in Unreal Engine...
When i render with my lumion 8 with realistic setting.... my lumion popup error about texture incorrect please help me sir...
Sounds like you've got an issue with one of your textures...
how does it work with LUMION , it has no displacement map.
As far as I know, it doesn't - to the best of my knowledge, Lumion isn't really designed for this sort of rendering, but rather advanced architectural visualization - if you're looking to use materials that require displacement maps, you're probably going to be better off in a static renderer like Vray...
Displacement maps are simple too taxing for real-time rendering. Maybe someday they implement a rendering mode where these features could be applied in a "non-real-time" mode.
Displacement maps can increase renderings by 10 times or more - they need to be used very sparingly, if at all.
I guess it depends on the application - if you're doing hard, fairly uniform surfaces, like tables, new floors, etc, bump and normal maps are probably your best bet. Some materials like brick with significant mortar, stones, etc look really weird without displacement, so there's not really a good way to get around that that I'm aware of...
@@TheRenderingEssentials It depends on the distance away from the camera and the angle. We used to use it on corners only by creating a separate texture just at the corners.
That would work - I've been meaning to test something like this out (separate textures with different maps for different areas) but haven't had a chance yet - thanks Dave!
