I believe it can for I have the 161T and I have use all bateries from AP200 to AP500. It's obvious I use more the AP200 because of the weight factor. In my case and sense of this kind chainsaw's for the purpose I use themes I prefer the 161T because is lighter.
@@sirvozelo1 I myself use the Makita DUC254Z often. This one is much lighter. So for pruning is ideal. when I'm in the spider lift I usually take a heavier saw with me as a backup
Just bought this saw and with the 300s and 500s battery feels like I’m climbing around with a 880 on my waist so I go back to using my echo 2511 power to weight ratio can’t compare
and i wish they also make a battery that weighs less. That you have the choice to take a lighter battery. now I can use the saw in a platform to prune for a day on 2, 300s batteries. I would like to have 4 150s batteries.
@@jaccokarelse I have the 161T have used it and abused it beyond manufacturers recommendation I am very very happy, I also have the 220C and the MSA300, batteries I have all from AP200 to AP500S. Sure the 161T operates with all this batteries but on the top of a tree I always use the AP200 it cuts very much the same and is light.
@@zracak Not true at all! It's a better idea to think about work position, if the saw kicks back or chatters down the branch are my body parts in the strike zone? Like two limp noodle ass bitch hands won't prevent injury when you put an inexperience climber up a tree with a 201 and they decide to cut a branch directly in front of their face using just the tip of the bar and it kicks back and mangles their tender young face. How many tanks of fuel vs 1 battery? Nice tool.
It depends on which battery. But I would say the heavier battery is comparable to a tank of fuel
@@jaccokarelse good info, thanks.

I havê the 220 C in the other format and I also have the 161 T. I must say each on on her class the 161 T beats upon the 220 big time.
