When ken started saying "Get back here Young lady," all I could picture was the prop hunt episode with Cry, Minx, and Felix. You know what I'm talking about if you have been a fan for awhile
baby Layla is soooo cute, but I'm excited to hear how her accent will evolve between learning from the two of you😊😊😊 you're great baby and animal parents by the way!
PIZZA TIP : My cousin makes pizza like that all the time. TIP! put only the dough in the oven for about 5 minutes, then take it out, put the sauce and toppings, then bake until cheese melts. ALSO, cornmeal is a great base, sprinkle it on the pizza stone before you put the dough. It adds a great flavor and will make it not stick to the stone.
Literally started taking the paci from my two year old about a week ago and the transition was much MUCH smoother than I expected, especially during naps and bedtime. All babies are different though, so who's to say how Miss Layla would respond. Anywho, a silent viewer here who just felt compelled to share! Lol. Love you guys!
It's usually the ones who have never owned a snake but knows someone who does so they automatically know everything about snakes... But on a side note I came across So Phresh Natural Aspen Small Animal Bedding and it comes in a giant block at petco and its cheaper then the snake bedding that comes in those small bags my snake loves it, I figured since you guys have quite a few snakes it was worth mentioning to you.
I'm glad you guys have a strategy you're working on. It's so frustrating that everyone will tell you different things are "right". A big issue I come across is the argument of comforting when they cry vs letting them cry and fall asleep. I'm glad you guys comfort her as a part of your strategy. It's not easy but you guys tackle everything with love and smiles and it's a great example for the rest of us to follow.
I love how as you are showing the little snakes and they seem to be waiting to be on camera, chillin and ready to put their heads up should something interesting pop up. And I agree, snakes like their little hideaway holes
What Ken was saying about the snakes makes a lot of sense. I won't lie and say that I don't feel a little sad seeing snakes in a small space, however, I know that's just the right type of spot for them. I wonder why some people say that snakes need room to explore. Why would a snake need to explore it's own environment unless it is looking for something? So, Ken saying that Ben coming out from his hide just to eat makes a lot more logical sense. Much like a human "exploring" their room because they are looking for something specific. When I'm at home, I stay in one stop most of the time and only move around my "environment" when I need something in particular like food or using the bathroom. I'm glad that Ken and Mary do take the time to explain these kinds of things because even if it doesn't help others to understand, it certainly helps me understand. Snakes just wanna chill.
y'all have clearly done your research and know tons about your pets so I don't get why people feel like they gotta prove you wrong or whatever. anyways your family is beautiful and I love watching these vlogs!!
thanks for explaining about snakes and spaces, cause alltho i haven't commented on it, i have wondered about the tiny spaces you have for your snakes. But after your explanation I remembered all those 'crazy-man-telling-you-to-not-try-these-things-at-home-as-hes-doing-all-the-things' tv shows about snakes and they seem to enjoy close quarters too.^^
honestly it's such a wonderful feeling when you showed Layla waking up for her nap it was almost like we were right over her watching her wake up from her nap that was a beautiful moment I mean everything's a beautiful moment but I hope you know what I mean. Ty for sharing ur lives with us Im honored
I wish you guys wouldn't be so hard on yourselves! You just do what suits your family, and rock it! There will always be people who disagree with what you say and/or do, but you are doing amazing, and you should keep up the excellent work. :)
Aww I love watching you guys figure out and try new things with Little L :) Brings back memories of doing the same with my little "sass"quatch. Almost makes me want another one....almost
I'm actually happy you said something about your snakes cuz I was thinking the same thing other people were saying. I'm not going to comment about it cuz I don't know anything about snakes. Now I know 👍 Good job Ken.
I've been scared about the treatment you give to the snakes, however I know absolutely NOTHING about it. So you guys are teaching me. If you say that this is the right way to care for snakes, I believe you. I don't know why its hard for others to do this as well. Or at least if they care that much, to educate themselves and THEN come around. Btw, you guys are so good with Layla, I love you both and she is so beautiful
I mean i would do your own research. I wouldn't think something is ay okay and not question it just cause a YT couple say's it's fine. Like there's plenty of people who clearly mistreat their animals, but the second you call them out they go on about how it's the "best way". Same can be said when it comes to child abuse and neglect.
White noise saved my life haha, from a few weeks old I've used a Hoover noise and it worked amazing, my daughter 2 now and whenever she's ill I will use the white noise again which makes her settle no matter what! I very much agree with what you guys do! You're awesome parents!
One great tip for pet snakes! If you have a 3D printer or know someone who has one, you can print snake sized hats and with heavy filament you can try to make a fake tree for them to climb!!! Hope that helps
Sarah H. But he literally made half the video about that these snakea barely move. Not all snakes a climbers. Pretty sure it would be useless for Ball Pythons. But for people who have climbing snakes it might be a better idea
I like it when Mary cooks and shares it with us. Kinda inspires me to try making some stuff myself, especially because a lot of these recipes are healthier than others, it won't absolutely effect my weight as much :)
Telling you guys. You need to get a woombie swaddle. Easy to change diapers in and it swaddles their body in this right but stretchy material. Love it. Best of luck with getting the baby to sleep in the crib, might take a bit but you'll get there!
Thanks for teaching me about snake enclosure, I really want a snake when I move out, so this really helped for me picking out an enclosure for the right size snake.
ken and mary are over like in the middle of america, owning so many adorable pets and loving them, taking care of a gorgeous baby, and looking really happy while i'm over here laughing at animal videos and being anxious about going to college
asiandomination College can be a lot of fun! I don't party personally but a lot of people really enjoy the social experience and the learning. You'll do great! If you're already there, keep on keeping on!
I know I'm not a baby expert, but one way I've put babies down is sometimes you need to let them cry. That will wear thwm out slightly, and also helo strengthen their lungs. Just a little tip!
Mary! Sometimes I brush some garlic butter on a homemade pizza crust and pre-bake it a little, then top it to finish it.. so yum! Looked delicious though!
Charlotte Mincher my aunt did this with my cousins they where 3 and 2 she said if they give there dummy's to santa they will get presents they put them on tree Christmas Eve and never used one again
Sleep training is one of the best things I did with my son. Unfortunately I did it when my son was like 6/7 months old so I had to use the cry out method, I plan on doing it as early as you guys with the next child , but it all worked in the end. He even begs me to go to sleep now when he's tired. Good luck to you guys and I hope it work out for you guys as well as it did for me.
I put the water with the yeast last in the flower mixed with salt, making a well and pouring really slowly until i incorporate everything. I find thats it works faster and it is less messy :)
I totally agree about the pacifier it has it's time and place where it can be a useful tool it was super easy to take it from Ivy. She had a love hate relationship with it when it was around so she was over it instantly pretty much. One day it just wasn't there and she was totally fine with it.
The amount of remarks I've gotten about my snake. "Why is he in such a small place" "Can he breath in there" "Why is he in a plastic box" idk maybe cause hes a hatchling
Ken, Mary, you guys are doing a great job! Keep up the good work! (Also Corn Meal goes well on the bottom of a pizza, you guys should try it sometime.)
I like how some people act like they're snake professionals, yet in reality they don't know what the hell they're talking about. I don't know anything about snakes either but I trust that you guys know what you're doing with them. The snakes seem happy to me.
Mary, a tip for next time you make pizza dough is you can use honey instead of sugar so the yeast has something to eat. Glad you're all well. I love family vlogs. I'm catching up from being on vacation ☺️
Ahhh thank you guys so much for freaking saying something about white noise for babies! I'm getting yelled at constantly for not whispering when babies in my family are trying to sleep and I just kinda sit there and go, "Oh so that's why I am so good at putting children to sleep right? Because I'm OBVIOUSLY following your rules." -_- Also, I can't remember where I heard it, but apparently soft motion helps with babies (and adults too sometimes) going to sleep and then staying asleep. So that would be why car rides are really relaxing and sometimes just put babies to sleep. But hey, what do I know? You both keep being you. :)
I absolutely love the family vlogs. Everyone has their own way of parenting with children and pets - so ignore those haters! I love these videos and couldn't click on it quick enough!
We just recently started sleep training my 8 month old cousin and the biggest advice we got that worked for us was white noise and a pitch black room. Hope this helps you guys out. :D
My son hated binkies I tried so hard to do it so he wouldn't use the bottle a lot and get gas and I wish my son loved being held but the minute I cuddle him he refused and screamed. You guys are wonderful parents!

I know that it's really early to be thinking about this, but I can't wait to hear what Layla and their other future children's accents will sound like ☺️
My little cousin had a teddy that had a speaker in it that played like the sound of a heart beat from the inside and it always helped him sleep by himself.

A happy snake is a snake that sits in his home and doesn't do anything. I want to be a happy snake.
Deanna Singleton me too.
Me too
Deanna Singleton i sexually identify as a happy snake
All my life I wondered what I was.
I am a snek.
A danger noodle.
I am basically a happy snake on the weekends then
I now understand why I've always identified with slytherin!
You get out here young lady! You get out here right now!! #flashback #CRY "You don't know me Keeeeeeeeeen!"

YES OMG and minx laughing her ass off in the background 😂😂😂
Good Times I got the same exactly flashback lol
ChantillyLace825 plzzz tell me the video o.o
I WAS HOPING HE WOULD MAKE THAT REFERENCE BUT HE DIDN'T AND NOW IM UPSET ]
baby Layla is soooo cute, but I'm excited to hear how her accent will evolve between learning from the two of you😊😊😊 you're great baby and animal parents by the way!
I know someone who has an American mom and an English dad, and he has an American accent (probably because he lives here in the US)
Ikr kens there with his slight southern accent and Mary's got that Australian accent, it might come out weird but it could also be pretty cool
Loki Lowkey accents are picked up from the community and social interactions. So Layla will pick up the local accent, not Mary or Kens
roxi527 Ken lives in the state he was born in, so he has that dialect of where they live, so she'll probably sound more like him
Patnip Baka imagine ken's voice coming out of the baby
Geesh People, Where do you find snakes in the wild... Oh that's right UNDER ROCKS...
"A happy snake is a snake that sits in his home and doesn't do anything".
I guess I'm a happy snake :)

In all honestly I'm learning a lot more about snakes from your videos and I don't even have one of my own lmao
You guys are good parents
Camden Ford they're parent goals
You tell them grumps Ken!

Seeing baby Layla only makes me want to have a baby of my own. 😍
Wow that pet store has the best looking reptile enclosures I've seen good job reptile manager that works there

Mary hitting on Ken is my favorite thing "Damn Boy, look at those shoulder blades."
I know that you're not a huge fan of cooking, Mary - but I have learned some new recipes from you to try. So, thank you!
ChantillyLace825 I have already tried the black bean burgers she made a few vlogs ago. Totally delicious! Thanks Mary 😊
Yes, I need to try those!

Yeah. Baby sneks are fine. Everyone hold on to their britches, it's okay.
You guys do you. It's awesome and adorable.
I wish you guys wouldn't be so hard on yourselves! You just do what suits your family, and rock it! There will always be people who disagree with what you say and/or do, but you are doing amazing, and you should keep up the excellent work. :)

I'm genuinely happy that Ken did that rant about his snakes cuz i actually did kinda learn something from it
Sarcastic Ken is my favorite Ken
I love the CinnamonToastKen,SuperMaryFace, and Baby L family❤ Layla is the cutest baby I've ever seen omg
Ken, the autofocus will work better if you use Portrait while filming :) I have the same camera and I use SCN and pick portrait. I like it. Try it :)
Moxxi's Journal everyone would complain if it was filmed in portrait though
TheGirlWithThatFace I think it's a setting and not actually filming it in potrait
TheGirlWithThatFace it's a setting not portrait view
+CinnamonToastKen !!
Moxxi's Journal everyone should like this so ken can see it
Everytime I take a break from YT and YTers in general, I come back here and ya'll have more snakes lmao. Love it!!!

MyGreenCrystals true. I don't know much about snakes besides some are venomous and most are adorable. And they sometimes eat mice.
I like it when Mary cooks and shares it with us. Kinda inspires me to try making some stuff myself, especially because a lot of these recipes are healthier than others, it won't absolutely effect my weight as much :)
Mary's the most natural mother i have ever seen!
"People like to put personalities onto snakes, but in reality there's only 2 types of snakes..." *Thank* *you,* somebody finally said it!

you guys are so smart. it would be amazing to spend time with you guys

honestly you can tell how much more relaxed Meryl has been since you guys moved her to the rack
I love the cooking parts and dad Ken it's so adorable 😍
I put the water with the yeast last in the flower mixed with salt, making a well and pouring really slowly until i incorporate everything. I find thats it works faster and it is less messy :)
LAYLA WHY ARE YOU TOO CUTE!!? 😭💖

Honestly I have learnt a lot about snakes with your videos like those giant poops they make I thought they pooped in strings like fish do hahaha
Your guys are amazing snake owners!

The thumbnail made me happy. SO CUTE!! 😍
I want one of those little bearded dragons, the lizard and and a Guinea pig you guys showed on camera.😍❤️
Omg the baby is growing so much day by day
Ahhh thank you guys so much for freaking saying something about white noise for babies! I'm getting yelled at constantly for not whispering when babies in my family are trying to sleep and I just kinda sit there and go, "Oh so that's why I am so good at putting children to sleep right? I absolutely love the family vlogs. Everyone has their own way of parenting with children and pets - so ignore those haters! I love these videos and couldn't click on it quick enough!
We just recently started sleep training my 8 month old cousin and the biggest advice we got that worked for us was white noise and a pitch black room. Hope this helps you guys out. :D
Ken make sure to always feed your snakes souls and give them up to the darkness for daily walks. also smoothies to give them a treat.
Mary is such an amazing mom😍
My son hated binkies I tried so hard to do it so he wouldn't use the bottle a lot and get gas and I wish my son loved being held but the minute I cuddle him he refused and screamed. You guys are wonderful parents!
She is so gorgeous omg!
I hadn't wanted to give my son a pacifier but the nurses at the hospital did it anyway when they were doing his checks and such. But I was lucky that at a year old (literally day of his birthday), we chucked the nuks and he did not care. Layla may be the same way, no nuk no care. You guys are such great parents you'll make the right decision at the right time.
I love the Mary vlogs lately. please have Mary do more vlogging if she has the time
i so enjoy your baby blogs mary and ken
Layla seriously gets cuter every day 😍
i love your snakes Ken.🐍😁
I didn't think yeast 'ate' sweetener... you could use salt to feed the yeast instead. xxxxxx
giving snakes too much space makes them anxious and less likely to eat in a predatory way and get fussy about private eating and feel unsafe.
don't lecture people who evidently care emotionally and practically for their animals.
you saw how upset Mary was when lunchbox had that freak out jump moment and shat himself. that was not the reaction of someone indifferent to the welfare of her animal family xxxxxxx
sarahwithstars *herself, lunchbox is a girl :)
The thumbnail melted my heart
Mary that pizza looked really good, and I'm half Italian. So really brava 👏🏼👏🏼💚
5:18 My family and I had a boxer who ate science diet food. She lived to be 12 years old when a boxer's average lifespan is 8-10 years.
Mary, I must say, you look so gorgeous and you look like your honest to god glowing ❤
I know that it's really early to be thinking about this, but I can't wait to hear what Layla and their other future children's accents will sound like ☺️
