Believe it or bot I was one of those kids waving that UCL flag in the centre circle, me and my class mates from Cross Lee primary, still remember it like it was yesterday, I remember the tournament held at the cliff we participated in being forced to wear Oldham Athletic kits, how time flies.
that's also a dream that I will have if I even when there
Brian Moore & Kevin Keegan great Commentary team from nearly 20 Years ago
Romario, what a player
¡ TU PADRE !
had left barça to join Flamengo ❤️🖤
Thanks for the upload.
Still love that goal by Sharpey after all these years!
Forgot how different it was on these 90s C.L nights. They barely have 5 minutes before they are heading down to the start of the game, nowadays you get at least 30 minutes build up and analysis, no wonder it seemed so exciting cause you went straight into it practically and almost felt like you were there!
what a barca team, romario, an 2 of my favourite players of all time they lit up world cups , georgi hagi (romania) an hhistro stoichkov (bulgaria), ronald koman
gary pollock yeah but they got humbled by AC Milan couple of months before in Champions league final
I was like 9 years old in Manta I remind. I watched my first match seriously. Camerún - Argentina. Yo hinchaba por Camerún y Alemania y al final ganaron el primer partido y el último de esa Copa del Mundo en la Madre Patria de los "Guayacos", etc. Besos igual y gracias por todo ..............
This is truly an amazing game: Barcelona hardly had any possession on the ball, they just scored from the few chances they had. Both Barca's goals where long balls! LONG BALLS! Great game with lessons in Great Defense, Great Attacking, and Great Coaching. Thank you for sharing a true classic.
first goal of barca wasn't from long ball
That Barcelona team used long balls very often, specially from Koeman looong diagonal passes, but also from Guardiola's through lines passes in the middle. When people compared Guardiola's Barcelona with that Cruyff's Barcelona forgot how vertical this team was when they wanted. To my mind, Cruyff's Barcelona was more powerful and wide ranging offensively speaking than Guardiola's, although defensively was very vulnerable if they lose the ball and its pressing wasn't effective... I grew watching Cruyff's Barcelona and to this day is my favourite team ever, one of the most entertaining that ever existed and one of the most offensively lethal, because of its combination between long and short passes, and an almost non-ending variety of resources
Fantastic!! Great memories...Thanks.
Great video, thanks for the upload and the memories.
Based on the English commentary, Barcelona do not belong on the same pitch as Man U. This is the same Barcelona team that beat Man U 4-0 that year. 4x defending la liga champions. UCL winners in ‘92 and finalists in ‘94.
Laughable play by play.
1:50:54 “Stoichkov and Romario are two individualistic players and they haven’t looked good playing together”.
This “analysis” coming from the сunt who couldn’t be bothered to learn Stoichkov’s name, even though he was coming off a golden boot at the WC and was about to win the golden ball.
Next game - Romario assists Stoichkov, Stoichkov assists Romario.
The previous season, also playing with Stoichkov, Romario had his best season ever, scoring 30 goals in 33 matches in la liga alone.
What a thunder dolt.
Roy Kane is a murderer!
Ha Ha Ha Haaland hey
When football was still great again, sides still mainly Brits, pitches that had wear & tear in 'em, a simple ordinary ball & tkt prices £5-£10.
the good old days😩
El gol de Romario todo un estilo de Cruyffismo
Sharpey was awesome that night 💪🏻
Thank you so much for this video !! How ?
"They couldn't find a place for hagi in their side " upsets me... Hagi was unreal and a different class
Barca were a completely different side without Laudrup in that front 3. Stoichkov and Romario were not the same, too much reliant on Koeman and Bakero. Barca were awful in their league that season, Cruyff was sacked the following season. In my opinion the Dream Team could have lasted longer had Cruyff and Laudrup settled their differences and got on with playing beautiful football.
You can interchange Laudrup with Stoichkov and Romario in that sentence. Cruyff fought with all of them and chased them away.
27:05 1-0
41:58 1-1
That bodingtons advert though!!
cuando el fútbol era de calidad y no un simple negocio
Do you have the full game when Barcelona beat Man United 4-0 the same year?
this was at old trafford. united got beaten 4:0 at the camp nu. think ac milan was it this year. Italian teams were the dominant force between 1996 and 2005 ua-cam.com/video/b6-FjFJcI9Q/v-deo.html juventus were the force between 1996 and 2000. it wasn't bacelona back then
@@fraser_mr2009 thanks for answering a question nobody asked.
Ince is a fuckin warrior
What a underrated player lee Sharpe was
I can understand why ferguson dropped bruce for for one very good reason parker had pace and was a very good man marker
one of the 1st games i ever see
I always remember the whistles.
chelsea-liverpool 2004-2005 champions league.. and 2006-2007 champions league.. first encounter.. upload can you
Romário Brazil 🇧🇷
wow!
Good old days
STOICHKOV THE BEST...
Wasn't man united restricted from playing a full strength team due to English teams not being allowed to play more than 3 non EU players, here they had loads, Kanchelskis, Cantona, Schemichael and a few more whom I can't remember
I am sure Barca had the same problem, so Haghi, Cruyff were out of the game as the result of this rule. Today you will find many teams with less than 3 players from the teams country. Is this normal?
RechtfuerOrdnung FIFA changed that rule in the mid-1990s. IMO, it was a unneeded and utterly useless rule that bogged down the game, but, then again, soccer more than any other sport on planet earth has unique rules that would confound fans of any other sport. (I mean, you can be sent off for fighting another teammate? WTMF??????)
Got to see Segio Busquets dad and Pep Guardiola in the same team
VHS quality recording from almost 20 years ago. What u expect?
Fergie got rid of Sharpy because of his life style, (coke, birds and booze). He did the same with Whiteside and Magrath.
2024 ⚽️
Finals are tomorrow don't miss it
is there any chance you could get the fulll gothernburg game 4-2?
Is there any chance you could upload the Barcelona away game? the 4-0 loss from November 1994. Many Thanks.
I would if I had it. I unfortunately do not think I have any other matches to upload. Sorry.
oldfashionedman Ok. Thanks for the reply.
google it. someone uploaded it on dailymotion.
Jonathan Roberts Cheers mate. Just found it.
SiThompson1 no problem. Great game, enjoy it.
Romario the best in History
ou est CANTONA???
How come Gonorrhoea (best name for a soccer player ever IMO) wasn't a reserve for Barce in this game? Or, wasn't he playing for them at this point?
Andrei Antanasovich Kanchelskis, what happend to him???????
Went to Everton fool
vamos barcelona vamos
Hi barça friends
Anyone have link to download Barcelona x Man United final 2009?
Me encanta la intensidad y la atmósfera cuando juegan equipos ingleses y más en aquellos.
Glory-glory man utd
Well 'a very, VERY successful manager with Barcelona' might be pushing it but i'd say he was a success, at least initially. He did win La Liga in his first season which incidentally was Barcelona's first domestic title for over a decade. He came within a penalty shoot-out of winning the European Cup and finished runners-up on both his other 2 (full) seasons and one of those was by a point so not too shabby i'd say.
36:12~36:25👍
Bring back the CHAMPIONS league
Where is Cantona ?
Suspended
15:10 Hmmm, someone did get "outwitted in the game". lol
Adzan subuh rcti 1994
This United team look a lot superior to the Barca team, they can match each other in terms of technique, but United played with a lot more pace, aggression, intent and drive. Barca team were slow and too happy to pass around the back going nowhere
Ryan Giggs missed the game! :-(
Nikhil Amin I have always preferred the direct aggressive British style of play to the slower paced continental style. That's why I fell in love with and worship ferguson teams from 1993-2003. They were great exponents of that style of play 😀.
Barcelona beat this “superior” Man U team 4-0 the same year.

43:44 man united wren't a great team at this point. scholes, beckam, giggs, etc, not in the team yet. barcelona were comfortable for large spells during the match: ua-cam.com/video/JZHmsackU6c/v-deo.html
idiot. Manchester united should have won and would have qualified for the QF if they won this game
Not a good team ???? We had just won the double the season before this and the title the year before that. Giggs was a regular first team player but Scholes was in the team but he was still young and we had better players infront of him at that time.
@@David1988Mufc Barcelona dominated the game. Nobody goes to old Trafford and dominates. Look how easy it was to defend for Barcelona. The only player good enough was Kanchelskis
www.dailymotion.com/video/x15u2zo Man U get hammered at the Camp Nou
