- Foam tips wear out fast.
You can never go wrong with buying more.
But while there are lots of options, which one should you choose?
Today I am gonna review two different price points of foam tips to let you decide if you should go for the expensive ones or the budget ones.

I swore by and wore foam tips for a year. I found out I was missing bass and midrange, though. Back to the silicone tips I went. I can hear the music much better now. Lesson learned.
I recently picked up the JVC Spiral Dots and am very happy with it. The sound and comfort is really good.
Perhaps will do another small review on it.
the exact video i was looking for
Good review
Nice video 👌
I liked this material very much.
Could you recommend the ear tips for Edifier X3 from Aliexpress?
I am interested in replacements for expensive silicone ear tips without shape memory.
21$ for three pair of tiny foam tips! Ridiculous, but I bought into it anyway
Yeah Mag, I thought if it were something to insert in my body (ear), then it is better not to cheap out.
these ones cost 50 euros in my country.
great video!
Thanks!
Great video.
This was a interesting one. Ear tips are very important imo. The comfort, sound alteration, and sealing can change your experience a lot.
What are your opinions on these tips? Are they worth it? Or just silicone tips all day every day?

for the foam tips i like the chineese trn tips best, but on most iems i like the spinfit best. blon-03 spin fit, trn v90 spin fit, tin p1, ie80s (senheisser rubber) enz enz, but like the tin-T2 best with foam and the ikkio oh1 best with foam. comply sounds really muddy to me.
down side to spin fits is the fit in the ear for the iem it self spin fits are longer and push out the iem a little bit, great for blon-03 but really sucks on the ikkio
Would the comply audio pro tips worsen the sound quality on my galaxy buds pro compared to the tips it comes with?
I think its best to go for the cheap ones. After all its just foam, not much more to it. The only thing is comply has tools to help you get the perfect fit for you specific brand of earphones.
There's a surprising amount of research that goes into comply tips.
I just bought a 3-pack of Dekoni Bulletz IEM memory foam tips. Hopefully it’s a good investment.
That 2as 3 months ago. How do you like them?
So which foam tips would cut the treble and boost the bass? I have a pair of CCA A10 and the treble is VERY STRONG. It’s unlistenable. It’s much too sharp with regular silicon tips and most of the foam tips I tried. Right now I use a pair of foam tips with no rubber core since the rubber core boosts the treble even more. I place a small piece of foam into the bore to boost the bass and cut the treble a bit more and it works well without affecting the mids. Now I just want to find something that works as well or even better since I only have 4 pairs of these tips and I can’t buy them anywhere. They came packed with JVC Marshmallows. So I’d prefer Chinese tips since they’re cheap but I’d also use the Comply. Does the optional wax guard versions cut down on the treblee or is it acoustically transparent?
the smartcore ones can cut the treble and boost the bass. The chinese and sports ones are comfortable too but they don't really change the sound that much at all!
@@buyingonabudget1916 I'll try a set of the Comply Smartcore. I also plan on trying the Ostry tuning tips which are much less than Comply. They're silicone tips with treble filters. Three types available and $13 on AliExpress for all 3 sets. I never knew about these until a few days ago.
I heard about the Ostry OS300 silicone tips with filters to tame the trebles that you could try maybe?
What are your earphones called?
I prefer foam to silicone, especially when commuting. The chinese one usually go around $3 for 2 pairs in my country.
They are more comfortable for long session, and i can still hear my surrounding. On the downside, the bright colored foam tips (i.e. blue) usually get dirty really fast.
Good vid buddy!
Thanks! I do find the foam tips to be more comfortable for long session. And $3 for 2 pairs in you country just seems so good!
@@buyingonabudget1916 which ones do you think I should get? If I get the Chinese ones will they change how my wirelesss earbuds sound?
❤️👍👍👍
thanks~
What about dekoni vs comply?
According to a lot of reviews I saw the comply has some issues with breaking and sliding off the stem and getting stuck into the ear canals. I skipped on the complys because of that
*Foam tips are not bassy it absorbs bass and low frequencies quiet a lot*
You do realize ( there's something has more bass it usually sounds more muddier ) it's like you're saying the same thing.
If you get more bass it usually means you have a better coupling to your ear. As you can see from any headphones if you take them out of your ear a little bit THE BASS GOES AWAY. The more it's touching the inside of your ear and all the way around your ear you usually have a better stronger bass and louder.
We have this thing we say in the audio world from audio files.
Turning down the bass is the same thing as turning the treble up.. instead of increasing frequencies to get what you desire usually decrease them first..
You lose the high-end sound because of more bass it will sound muddy.
But the question is how they tuned these earphones in the first place. THEY TUNE THEM WITH THE SILICONE THAT COMES WITH IT.. SO TO GET THE MOST ACCURATE SOUND THE SOUND THEY INTENDED YOU TO HEAR FROM AKG with like Samsung headphones. You need to use the silicone that came with it.
But it stinks because they fall out of your ears.
I've yet to find all the features of the SAMSUNG 2 PRO earbuds with a sport version.
Don't know why no one makes these.. Don't know why Samsung doesn't make these. People want their earbuds to stay in their ears.. Even if they have a hook who cares if the case is bigger.
These are expensive headphones nobody wants to lose them..
I would buy the Chinese one. It's cheaper!
I agree with you, and the difference is not very noticeable anyway.
Do not buy memory foam ear tips unless you plan on changing them weekly! But if you do love stinky, bacteria filled, ear infection causing ear bud tips, then buy them.
PS - there is NO WAY to clean or sanitize them without destroying them. Anyone who says anything different sells them!
I hear ya. But I can’t wear iems. I have weird ear canals and tried every tip and all the high end iems. Now with the foam I finally got a seal and see the hype for iems finally. But it’s still no open back planar. Regarding your profile pic. I guess you heard about Stanton? Met the dude is Hollywood with hank 3 years ago.
Kz!!!
i just got some KZ IEM's off amazon and they were straight trash. The earbuds that came with my Hifi Walker H2 sounded WAY better but after a year one side lost all the bass so i am in the market for new earphones. the KZ's are going in the trash after i get something new. right now i am looking at either the Sephia 3060 or Betron B25 if neither of those work then i'm stepping it up to THX certified 1more triple driver's or Creative Aurvana Trio but not trying to spend that much money.
