problem is that when I put 500gb ssd in mbp mid 2012 first it takes 30 seconds to boot and then I open one or two app it get sucked freezes my screen yet curser is moving after that system goes hang......again and again same thing happens.....but when I put ssd in external cases everything is ok now tell me what is the problem. there are plenty of videos to install ssd but no one is telling about this. it is not only with me a lot of people suffering this problem
I installed the SSD and when I booted up it has a folder with a question mark blinking. I restarted and held down comm-R, the SSD shows but I cannot click on it to choose the SSD. It won't let me install the MAC OS because I can't choose the SSD. The Disk utility shows the SSD but I can't click on any of the buttons to repair or choose. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Good addition ("Command + R") I started the restore, and after Disk Utility to prep the disk, the internet restore worked. Was the system working before? You probably have a deeper hardware issue.
For most laptops that have a HDD , the form factor is 9.5mm / 2.5 in, there are a few occasional Windows machines that might have a bigger drive, but typically this is the form factor found in most portable Windows and Mac machines.

So demanding lol. A lot of ppl mention the problem is the sata cable.

FYI apple does not use philips head screws, they are all torxs. That being said to open the back you need a T5 torx.
