1996 was the final year of collecting for over ten years. Great rookie class, and probably the best WR class of all time. The final product I bought as a teenager was 1996 Topps Chrome. And was blown away. And 25 years later I built the master set. I don’t think you have a single viewer that wouldn’t love to see you rip a box of 1996 Topps Chrome Football.
Pretty sure this was the very first year of relic cards. Definitely for jersey cards. That is awesome you got a pigskin relic. And Warren was a great RB too.
This was fun to watch ..i went to high school with Ricky Dudley he olayed power forward on our basketball team i dont think he played football until college
They are kinda expensive but if you’d do a 2006 Topps Football retail rack pack, it’d be awesome. They had basketball too. I still have one of each. One with the base Peyton on the front. The basketball has base Kobe on the front. They have three older Topps cards in each pack too. They also had these in 2007. Have Durant 57-58 style on the back of one. I sold my Wade pack. Glad there was actually someone out there to buy it.
The rack packs for 2006 football aren’t that expensive but the “vintage” cards in them are 90% 1990 Topps. I opened cases of that stuff and the oldest card I got was from 1972 and it was a kicker.
That’s how all of these boxes are. The majority were sold on Shop at Home late in the 1996 season (why all the rookies are in game action). The boxes on Shop at Home sold for a lot more than $29 because they hawked about the game ball inserts. Unfortunately they didn’t sell much and these boxes were sent to places like Kmart and Shopko in the early 2000’s when Collectors Edge went bankrupt and liquidated their stock.
I can still hear Don West late night on Shop at Home selling these boxes. Here is a video for the 1995 Edge Advantage boxes, $200 for two boxes or a 10 box case for $1000. There is a part two where the graphic states the 2 boxes have a book value of $1000 🤣🤣. m.ua-cam.com/video/n_NRWHEfLOc/v-deo.html
i like how the top layer of plastic has the 28.99 vintage sports card tag and when u got to the 3rd layer of plastic wrap it said 29.99 vintage sports card tag. price went down $1 in 2 more wrappings
Back when several card companies existed & they had to offer good value & nice designs to compete. Now we just have Panini throwing overprinted junk at us for premium prices.
I see now this is a channel that kind of gets excited over decent base cards or .25 inserts?? Only card from that that would sell over $1 is the Warren ball card and MAYBE the Harrison Rc. All those inserts are a dime a dozen and if you've ever been to card shows you'll know what I'm talking about.....but hey that's your niche just the nostalgia I guess.....carry on!!
@@pezscards3859 Yes! Nostalgia is enjoyable for many of us. I personally have never been to a card show with this stuff since essentially it’s not Marketable to sell to a broad audience. But I’ve bought enough huge collections to see these cards often. This was cheaper than a modern day blaster box and to me way more enjoyable.

I know i have a bunch of '96 Crown variation boxes and stadium club...i'll have to see if i have any chrome hiding.
That was awesome! I use to have a HUGE Chris Warren collection. He was a solid RB in the 90’s. Reminds me of being a kid. Nice video.
He was great. Borderline HOFer.
Love the hits in this box. I remember all these names from back in the 90’s. Cool set to see! Thanks!
I love ripping open these cards brings back memories, One heck of a box so many awesome players you got!! Congrats

@@DaBoff858 🔥 I think I need to do more of this old football that I have sitting!
@bustinboxes when you do it's always great content! Even the pokemon stuff...
Ahhh these old Walmart boxes, I have so so many of these, I pulled a 2000 Brady rookie out of an ultimate Victory box that was 19.99
Thanks for the video! What a cool box! If they made that product today, Panini would want $500 with no autos.
@@gregwilliams855 💯That’s about right!
You forgot the part where every single card is off centered too.
