How Australian Farmers Deal With Millions Of Invasive Foxes
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 чер 2024
- In Australia, millions of foxes pose a significant threat to agriculture, causing widespread damage and economic losses. Introduced in the 19th century for recreational hunting, foxes have since proliferated, becoming a pervasive invasive species. They prey on livestock, particularly lambs and poultry, and also threaten native wildlife, compounding the biodiversity crisis. Their impact on crops is indirect yet substantial, as they reduce the population of pollinators and seed dispersers by preying on small mammals and birds.

Good video. I wonder who the gormless git was who introduced them? No doubt to get rid of the rabbits that were introduced. Interesting to see the fox attacking the woman, I'm in the UK in a big town and the muppets here feed the bloody things. They've got increasingly bold and they come right into the house even when you're in the house. We've had them come in - walk right through the house, past my wife in the kitchen - literally 10' away, up the stairs past me sitting in my office and then sat opposite my son in the room upstairs. 12' away. My son only noticed it when it started scratching itself. Once it was seen, it legged it back through and out the house. They've been in and caused damage by scent marking all over the place, meaning we had to throw away bedding and the like. In one particular year a woman down the road was lying on the bed cuddling a new born baby with her back to an open back door. Dozing in the sun she said that she felt the bed being pressed down behind her, but initially dismissed it, but then felt the sensation again and thought that feels real, but there's nothing it could be, then slowly turning her head up sensing something was there, she came eye to eye to a fox standing over her with it head over the baby seemingly sniffing it. Given the footage of the woman being attacked it's not a massive leap of imagination to think if she'd had left the baby alone in the middle of the bed the fox may have attacked it/taken it.
The Gormless Git that introduced the fox to Australia was, surprise surprise. It was the bleedin pommy gent wot introduced them to the colony's init govna. We simply must organise a fox hunt for the next time we visit Reganold in Botany Bay. Thanks dickheads. If you didn't give us The Goodies we would of sent ya's all home. And we're better at Cricket.
