Thank you, I have an upcoming Mini Summative Test, and I am very shy to ask my teacher about this. I couldn't understand it before, but now, thanks to you, I understand this more.

I would’ve known the answer to the quiz question. However, you omitted something. Those of us deeply concerned about music should remember that there is no such interval as a “diminished unison.” Why not? Because the distance between two notes (or frequency of two terms) has to equal zero at some point, and that would be at the perfect unison (when two notes next to each other are the exact same pitch), and a measurement of space between two nouns in any context cannot be less than zero (0).

Here’s the intervals, one step at a time: 0/unison; 1/minor 2nd, 2/major 2nd; 3/minor 3rd; 4/major 3rd; 5/perfect 4th; 6/aug.4th or dim.5th; 7/perfect 5th; 8/aug.5th or minor 6th; 9/major 6th, 10/minor 7th; 11/major 7th; 12/perfect octave.
2nd octave: 12/octave; 13/minor 9th; 14/major 9th; 15/aug.9th; 16/major 10th; 17/perfect 11th; 18/aug.11th; 19/perfect 12th; 20/minor 13th; 21/major 13th; 22/b7; 23/7th; 24;2nd octave.
(Really only 9-11-13 get discussed whereas 10-12-14 rarely do.)
