  • I'm trialling #RocketGro and #HeartofEden compost which was kindly sent to me by each company respectively to try. The new strawberry runners were potted up to be planted out in the new raised bed in the fruit cage when ready. The strawberry varieties are Elsanta and Allegro.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy!
    All the best
    Nic

My home made compost has unwanted debris in it and I am careful so we must expect some unwanted materials in shop bought Nic and yes Sifting will find all the unwanted items. Sifted over 2 cubic meters in the last few months and I can now scratch my toes without bending down......😂.
    ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

Re: Compost - finding 'strange things' in the compost is going to be the new normal. When a manufacturer digs peat out of the ground there are no man made objects in it. I feel for the producers, they need to produce an acceptable product from what is available, and to a greater or lesser extent that is community 'green waste'. What do I think? I think a greater use of leaf litter would help. However my garden is no 'show piece', and I am not a compost expert!!! Looking forward to seeing the results of both the 'test', and the strawberries! Love the journey.
