- Today's review is the 1000th review on the channel, and to celebrate this milestone review, I thought I'd take a look at a beer from the Coors Brewing Company, and it's their Coors Banquet, which is an American Adjunct Lager. This is actually the first ever beer I had in my life, and even though it was just a sip, it's a memory that I'll never forget. Let's see what I think about this beer nowadays!
Note: I mentioned in the review that Smethport, PA is in Northeast Pennsylvania, but I meant to say Northwestern Pennsylvania. When you get excited, you tend to say the wrong thing. Sorry about that!
Commercial Description:

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, corn syrup (dextrose), yeast, hop extract.

Thanks for watching!
One of my favs......a great American lager! Very pleasant taste. I find it has sort of a banana note, which is unique. Great review!
Definitely one of my favorite macro lagers out there. Always hits the spot. Never got the banana note, but cool you pick up on that. I appreciate the comment, Randy!
Cheers!
Whoop! 1000 reviews! Congrats, bud! Cheers, Joe!
Thanks, Chris! Much appreciated, brother.
Cheers!
Coors Banquet was the beer that got me into beer. Still one of my absolute go-to beers if not my favorite. Miller High Life is close, then New Glarus Spotted Cow. Thanks for the review!
That's awesome, Jonathan! As far as macro beers go, Coors Banquet and Miller High Life are up there, for sure. I enjoy Spotted Cow more than both, though. I wish I could that beer regularly here in Buffalo, NY. Thanks, dude!
Cheers!
Pabst blue ribbon and coors banquet are my favorite American adjunct lagers, solid review. 🍻
Thanks, Chris! I'm going to review PBR soon, but I totally agree. Two of the best within the style!
Cheers!
Congrats on 1,000! PA was definitely Rolling Rock country. They used to throw a festival.
Thanks, Kyle! Oh, yeah ... definitely Rolling Rock country. I need to review that at some point.
Cheers, buddy!
Congrats on the 1000th brotha! Cheers!
Thanks, Tyler! Definitely a cool milestone.
Cheers, man!
I love the bottles these come in. My first beer was a heineken and I drank it from those keg cans they came in. Heineken will always have a special place in my liver lol cheers buddy! Congrats on 1,000 beer reviews!
Thanks! Yeah, I feel like most people remember their first beer and I love hearing their stories. Heineken, eh? It could've been much worse, haha!
Cheers!
Congrats! Really enjoying your beer reviews.
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. Hope you had a great holiday season!
Cheers!
Congrats on 1000! :)
Thanks, Gloomy! Much appreciated!
Cheers!
Congratulations on 1,000 beer reviews! I’m so glad you finally got to this milestone! It’s not my favorite macro lager but it’s still PFG for a macro. I gotta remember to bring you some Hamm’s when we meet up in a couple weeks. Hamm’s and Narragansett are definitely my favorite macros! Hard to believe I’ve watched 1,000 reviews from you, good thing is I still look forward to watching the next one so you must be doing something right!
Congratulations on your milestone review! Looking forward to 10,000 more!
Cheers, buddy! 🍻
Thanks so much, Jeff! I appreciate your support since the beginning, dude. Even when I didn't have a lot of subscribers, views or comments, I always enjoyed your comments. I totally agree. For what it is, this is pretty damn solid. Never had Hamm's before, so looking forward to that one! I can't wait to get together, too. Should be a great time!
Cheers, buddy!
Congratulations on beer review 1000 well deserved!
Thanks, Dustin! Totally appreciate the continued support, man.
Cheers!
Congratulations on the 1000th episode Joe!
Love ya, Derek! Thanks so much for helping me this year, too! Much appreciated, brother!
Cheers!
Love you too Joe! Your welcome brother!
Congrats on the 1000 prost
Thanks, Stoney! Hope all is well with you and those crazy spam calls. I get so many of 'em, too! LOL!
Cheers, buddy!
Congrats on 1k reviews Joe. That’s a great milestone. Great story to go with this one. I actually have a bottle of this in the fridge to review from a six pack I picked up a few weeks back. When I want a low cost lager this is one that’s on my shortlist. Busch was the first beer I ever tasted. And it is definitely not on my go to list. Haha. Great review Joe. Cheers!
Thanks, buddy! Yeah, Busch isn't one that I've had in recent memory. Might need to revisit it, haha! I think for the price point and quality, I agree with you about it being on the short list for me when it comes to easily accessible low-cost Lagers. Genny Cream Ale is still my go to for cheap macro stuff, though!
Cheers, Jay!
Congrats on 1000, Joe! This is a surprisingly popular one, both in bottle and can form. I've been meaning to try it myself.
Thanks, Eric! I'm not surprised that this is a good seller, though. I know a lot of people that enjoy this one. You've never had it? Got to try it at some point, man. It's not bad ... although many in the comments section disagree, haha!
Cheers, dude!
@@averagejoe716 Ha! I laugh at the "I'd never drink that fizzy piss - I'd rather drink water!" types. Like, get over yourself. Guess I'll be buying a 12-er of stubbies soon!
For sure, man. Like I've said, Adjunct Lagers aren't my favorite style, but there are certainly some within the style I can enjoy to some extent, and this is one of them. There's a time and place for almost every beer, IMO. Can't wait to see what you think of it, dude!
You deserve many more subscribers than you have. I love your reviews. Could you do some more Yuengling reviews?
Thanks so much for the kinds words, Rich! Awesome to hear you enjoy the reviews, dude! Thanks for the suggestion. I've only reviewed the Yuengling Hershey's Chocolate Porter, so a review of Yuengling and others from them need to be done at some point. I'll try to review at least one before the end of the year, dude!
Cheers!
@@averagejoe716 Thank you!!! The Yuengling Hershey's Porter is my favorite at this time of year.
Awesome to hear, Rich. Yeah, great for the weather. I've gotten so many comments on that video recently. People seem to be digging it!
Congrats on your 1000th review
Thanks, Ethan!
Cheers, dude!
You're reviews are super in depth
I try to break it down the best I can while still having fun with it.
Cheers!
🍺🍻
Cheers, Mark!
Coors Banquet is the best beer!! Hands down!! Coors Banquet you have to buy 3 months in advance of the month your in or it will be sour, because it doesn’t use, and preservatives and isn’t pasteurized.
One of my favorite American Lagers for sure, Luke. Thanks for the comment!
Cheers!
To me this is the best of the adjunct lagers
Awesome to hear, Josh. Definitely one of my favorites, even of the style isn't really for me.
Cheers, man!
@@averagejoe716 not my style either. But its my first pick because it has malt and is super clean and inoffensive
I think the first beer I ever tried was either Dixie, Miller High Life, or Schlitz, at age 2. True story. My parents always let us sip from their bottles.
I have a friend that has a similar story. Pretty cool.
IPA nutcase here but on an island being delivered lagers only by drone gimme Coors Banquet. Never tried Yuengling yet.
I would be on board with that. I like Yuengling, but it's much different than macro lagers, IMO. Give me Genny Cream Ale and I'm a happy guy, haha!
Cheers, Danny!
For an American adjunct lager this is #2 for me behind Yuengling Lager.
Nice, Corbin! I'm not sure what order my top-10 would be, honestly. This would be up there, but I'd have to take into consideration quite a few beers.
Cheers, man!
Narragansett
Full Disclosure, Smethport is in Northwestern PA, but Joe and I already discussed this! Hahaha... Cheers Brother send about 200 subbers my way, hahaha 😜 😆 🤣 😉 😄, Cheers looking forward to your 2000th review!
If I could send you all of 'em, baby, I would! Love ya, Paul! Yeah, not sure why I kept saying "Northeastern PA," but it's what I do, SONS! Always appreciate you, buddy!
Cheers!
I enjoy this beer, very much, while drain pouring. Would rather go Miller.
Oh yeah, Miller High Life is better than this. I agree. This is not a drain-pour for me. Not even close. Molson Canadian? Budweiser? Now we're talking, baby!
Cheers, dude!
@@averagejoe716 I’d probably go that order as well high life, banquet, budweiser.. must be the beechwood aging that makes it suck more. The worst in my opinion is Miller genuine draft. Just fucking awful
Haha cheers and congrats to the milestone brother but horrible choice of brew lolol. Your 8 year old self nailed it way back then with tje description of gross. See you were a stud at beer reviews way back then and you didn't even know it hahahaha. Coors is top 3 worst beers ever made.
100% to both aspects...
@@PABrewNews lol
LOL! It's definitely not top-three worst for me. As far as macro beers go, Molson Canadian stands at the top. I have no idea what the others would be, but this doesn't get close for me. All the Light American Lagers would probably be in the top-three. No reason to drink 'em for me, but maybe I'll review 'em at some point! Thanks for the support, duder!
Cheers!
@@averagejoe716 hahaha you're right no reason for me to drink them either. Any time. Cheers bro
Definitely 93 Garbage... bet you that one wasn't room temp, cus you would of gagged if it was.
Yeah, room temp and most American Adjunct Lagers would be undrinkable. I do wonder if there are any that hold up? It'd be interesting to find out. Maybe one day for science!
Cheers again, Paul!
Totally disagree. It's not the best shit in the world but Banquet, Bud Heavy, Narragansett/Genesee cream, yuengling are all fine at room temperature I'm sure. Not that it's ideal but it's not disgusting either. Grow up. Miller/Busch maybe, but only if they're slightly warm, not if they were 70°
drinkable ice cold but why bother, this is straight up corn syrup pee ...
I feel like there's a time and place for any beer, Douglas. For me, I'd happily drink this at a BBQ or at a friend's house. I love craft beer, but it's sometimes it's nice to have a low-ABV chugger that doesn't break the bank. Coors Banquet wouldn't be my first choice, but it's inoffensive and solid enough, IMO. Thanks for the comment!
Cheers!
