The intense stuff that Lilac said before the fights was already inspiring enough, But when you first hear this masterpiece, Oh My God... The amount of motivation you get is enough to even rival Bury the Light! I'm dead serious! In my opinion, This is the best final boss theme in existence.
Just finished my first playthrough today. 6 of my 18 deaths were to this guy. Watching him laugh after cutting me into feathers just made me all the more motivated to beat him. Still, he's sadistic, ruthless and, most importantly, has the strength and leadership skills to back it up. If I had to be a villain, I'd definitely pick Brevon.
I hate Brevon. Despise him and look forward to Dragon Boosting him into the wall on every playthough. But props to him for being such an effective villain. And for being more dangerous on foot than in his machines.
It's not just Brevon. In the sequel, you realize how dangerous his minions even are. Syntax is absurdly overpowered and Serpentine has got to be the most loyal and resilient snake I've ever seen.
The hype, the speed, the intensity, the little moments to attack, the atmosphere, the levels leading up to it... Make no mistake, for this will determine the fate of the entire planet...
The fact that this song plays three times in.a row, and stays awesome the whole way through. Final Dreadnaught 4, and both Final Boss themes. And then ofcourse the Tails final boss. sequence from Spirits of hell, that again used both Final boss versions. Gaddam this song is up there with Megalovania in awesomeness!
@@KatnippedYT spectacle and character wise the SOH battle is top tier, because even though Tails knows its pointless and Futile he still fights anyway, knowing that even if he wins its pointless. Yet there he goes anyway. As for Freedom planet, as awesome as the Breven battle is... there is just something about that MECH battle as Millia with that Song in the back ground that makes it utterly fantastic. Yes Carol and Lilac get a three phase battle in the end.. Milla getting this song for her two phase battle with the mecha boss was just so cool. However by this point both games have gotten sequels so the impact for both of them have diminished a bit. SOH suffers because it is at the end of the day.. a doomed battle.. awesome music or not. But id still give it the win here. Tails fighting his admittedly pointless battle has just a bit more impact than Lilac shouting at Breven

My only complaint is the song has such a short loop for how epic it is, I wish the composers realized how much of a bop they were creating and added a bit more to it...
It gives me the same vibes I get from Black Core Act 3's song in SRB2. Though I have the opposite problem there; I beat his mech way before the song gets good, so I need him to be at least as threatening as Brevon is.
My experience with this boss fight on hard mode(as Lilac): 1st phase: Oh shit. That spaceship thing from Battle Glacier is back! I think I can kill it again, though! -14 lives 2nd phase: Spaceship down! Now to deal with the ACTUAL boss: Mecha-Brevon! -39 lives 3rd phase: Yes! I killed Brevon! Get fuc-(Brevon slices way out of robot suit) What? He’s gonna try and fight me on foot? What an idio-(gets killed in two seconds) *OH.* -186 lives.

I just beat the game last night, and I have to say that this is one of the best Final Boss themes I’ve ever heard of in a while. Especially with those guitars at 0:28 that build up for the fight. It’s like Sonic 3’s final boss with the soundfont of Mega Man X. It truly is amazing.
sooo... I got this game for free on my switch, i didn't think much of it because of that. i do remember someone telling me the creator has some sort of achievement in the Megaman or Sonic community, might've been a fangame or something, can't remember i play through the first level as Lilac, still not thinking much of it at first, i thought it was fun but even after beating that first stage stopped playing, never had the time to go back to it sadly... this song is very inspiring, i've decided i will give this game a second, fair chance.

It took 30 minutes to beat this level because of the boss. in fact, I still hadn't beaten him. So I gave up, and came back the next day. Then, I beat him after like, 3 tries. Wow. Just Wow.

Jesus, I like this music a lot more than when I first heard it! I guess some things just take time, huh? Actually, I got an idea from this song, and I'd like to share it, if that's okay! This is my introduction to how the final boss of FP2 could play out... The worst possible sight held itself within Lilac's eyes. Her safe haven, her luscious home, was in scarred ruins. The Dragon Valley had never been the center of many battles throughout Avalice's history, but this time, Merga knew which area to strike in order to hurt Lilac the most. And she had succeeded. The purple heroine can't stop herself from collapsing to her knees as all of her failures engulf her. First the Kingdoms nearly kill each other in a pointless civil war, then her two best friends separate because of misled desires, and now her own fountain of life has been ripped apart. " No matter how hard I fight, there's always something that comes back to bite..." Lilac mutters these defeating words to herself without thinking of the consequences. This view is almost too much, she feels that she's ready to break. " But I won't. I can't. I don't want to..." She forces herself to stand up. The scorched remains of the Bakunawa lay around her, forming a sort of circle of memories. Lilac attempts to ignore her own thoughts as she scans for the enemy. After a few moments, she finally appears again. " It's a shame that you're still alive." The armored deity steps out from the shadows of a large hull piece, her eyes flaming with hatred and humor. Lilac stares her down with pure malice. " I'll have to say the same thing about you." " Don't get so readily caught up in your emotions again, Lilac. That's how you've managed to fail so many times already." Lilac jolts a little as Merga's words cut into her. " I know what you're trying to do. It won't work. She remembers why she fights. " I know what I want to do. Even if it's not easy, that's never been an excuse to give up. I never quit when I know I can keep trying, and this will not be an exception. Afterall, I'm a water dragon too." " What?" Merga is taken aback as Lilac copies what she just did, focusing her soul into the power Merga just used, and allowing it to empower her as well. From the ground Lilac glows with the same blue aura as the deity. The only difference to be seen, is the determination in her eyes. " We're more equal than you realize, Merga. I am as strong as you are, if not stronger!" " Hmph. Interesting. I'd wish upon a thousand worlds to have a more obedient equal, however I won't complain about what I cannot have." That is my thought when I saw someone playing Kirby Canvas Curse and notice that Drawcia had a health bar while the others does not
All 3 phases have a health indicator.
The first 2 are subtle in the two background pillars.

I just beat the game last night, and I have to say that this is one of the best Final Boss themes I’ve ever heard of in a while. Especially with those guitars at 0:28 that build up for the fight. It’s like Sonic 3’s final boss with the soundfont of Mega Man X. It truly is amazing.

I got this game for free on my switch, i didn't think much of it because of that. i do remember someone telling me the creator has some sort of achievement in the Megaman or Sonic community, might've been a fangame or something, can't remember
i play through the first level as Lilac, still not thinking much of it at first, i thought it was fun but even after beating that first stage stopped playing, never had the time to go back to it sadly...

It took 30 minutes to beat this level because of the boss. in fact, I still hadn't beaten him. So I gave up, and came back the next day. Then, I beat him after like, 3 tries. Wow. Just Wow.

Actually, I got an idea from this song, and I'd like to share it, if that's okay!
This is my introduction to how the final boss of FP2 could play out...
The worst possible sight held itself within Lilac's eyes. Her safe haven, her luscious home, was in scarred ruins. The Dragon Valley had never been the center of many battles throughout Avalice's history, but this time, Merga knew which area to strike in order to hurt Lilac the most. And she had succeeded. The purple heroine can't stop herself from collapsing to her knees as all of her failures engulf her. First the Kingdoms nearly kill each other in a pointless civil war, then her two best friends separate because of misled desires, and now her own fountain of life has been ripped apart. " No matter how hard I fight, there's always something that comes back to bite..." Lilac mutters these defeating words to herself without thinking of the consequences. This view is almost too much, she feels that she's ready to break. " But I won't. I can't. I don't want to..." She forces herself to stand up. The scorched remains of the Bakunawa lay around her, forming a sort of circle of memories. Lilac attempts to ignore her own thoughts as she scans for the enemy. After a few moments, she finally appears again.
" It's a shame that you're still alive." The armored deity steps out from the shadows of a large hull piece, her eyes flaming with hatred and humor. Lilac stares her down with pure malice.
" I'll have to say the same thing about you."
" Don't get so readily caught up in your emotions again, Lilac. That's how you've managed to fail so many times already." Lilac jolts a little as Merga's words cut into her.
" I know what you're trying to do. It won't work. I will keep myself steady, and I will defeat you."
" Can you even say that with an ounce of confidence anymore?" Merga raises her hands, gesturing to everything. " Take a third look at what you've caused. Is being the 'hero' really worth this much suffering?"
" Yes, it is. It's better than what you're going to do."
" And that's the tragedy we face. Your beliefs are skewed, and as such they lead you into an endless circle of betrayal, confusion, and terror. My beliefs, however, are clear and true, and as such they've led me to victory."
" I wouldn't call plunging our world into chaos a victory. You also forget that my friends and I have beaten all of your allies."
" All part of the plan. And what friends do you speak of? The ones who now lay on Death's beds, waiting for the sweet release to arrive?"
" That's NOT my fault! It's YOURS!"
" There's that fire in your soul again. How sad... Yet you are right about one thing. You are more of an opponent than I predicted. That is why I harnessed the power of this planet's core."
" And yet I don't see any changes."
" Change only occurs when one wills it to be so. Now watch, and learn." Merga rises into the air as a blue aura surrounds her. She draws in her limbs close to her torso, allowing the power to become stronger. She then extends her arms and legs back outwards, roaring as a wave of energy flies out of her. Her proportions are the same yet her looks are not. Her scales now flow with an electric-like water power, using the core of Avalice to unleash her hidden abilities. " Now I'm fully capable of everything." She smiles as she enjoys Lilac's horror. " So tell me, Hero of Avalice, do you still wish to face me?" Lilac shudders yet she does not falter in her mind. She remembers her life up until now. All the obstacles, all the trials, all the excitement, all the love, all the reasons. Carol, Milla, Corazon, her parents, the kingdoms... She remembers why she fights.
" I know what I want to do. Even if it's not easy, that's never been an excuse to give up. I never quit when I know I can keep trying, and this will not be an exception. Afterall, I'm a water dragon too."
" What?" Merga is taken aback as Lilac copies what she just did, focusing her soul into the power Merga just used, and allowing it to empower her as well. From the ground Lilac glows with the same blue aura as the deity. The only difference to be seen, is the determination in her eyes.
" We're more equal than you realize, Merga. I am as strong as you are, if not stronger!"
" Hmph. Interesting. I'd wish upon a thousand worlds to have a more obedient equal, however I won't complain about what I cannot have."
" Then you won't be complaining about many things." Merga sets herself onto the ground again.
" I'd say this is a perfect set-up to end it all for good."
" Agreed."
" But before I finish you, I'd like to thank you for making my endeavour a less boring one. You will be remembered, just as your pathetic friends will be."
" I wish I couldn't say the same about you."
The two dragons jump at each other, preparing themselves for the most important battle of their lives.
From a distant hill top, Carol and Milla weakly gaze upon the final battle.
