I could not get past her brown face makeup and dirty mascara teeth and bad perm. It was like kdramas who put actors in yellow face when they are deemed "ugly" or "country" before they get bleached out and straightened out.

Unfortunately, I cannot take mine out for too long as it strains my eyes but I get so jealous of those who can rock shades. I had shades with my power but had to always have both available on me if I needed to change, it just was not practical haha.

The funny thing about the show is that sorry for spoilers but the guy she likes has liked her for awhile way before the make over. They were both to very shy people when it came to relationships. It is actually a really cute show.

And it was weird that the girl had all the flaws( like even if they were not; the show portrayed them as flaws )that had to be rectified .But as the number of episodes increased i really loved the character development of all the characters in this show, how every character was inspiring another to become a better version of themselve which was really amazing to watch.

I agree with your point of view, but think of it this way, the show didn't think of them as flaws, she did. The guy that liked her back didn't think anything about her was flawed, meaning the show's not trying to portray her as ugly, imperfect, or anything else. however, because she thought that about herself you're only looking at her point of view not the drama as a whole.
@@maddie5572 she never insisted on having braces her mother did , she never thought of wearing lenses it happened after the incident where she broke her glasses and idk y the writer had to put her in that situation , her freinds did her makeup in summer vacations told her to straighten her hair . She wasn't the one thinking she was ugly , The writer used people around her and made her fall in such situations where it made her and viewers feel that way , i remember in the early episode the male lead freind made fun of her laugh .Her freinds bought her whitening creams . And i don't actually hate her character cause at the end she realized her worth when she said male lead that she needs time cause he doesn't love her as much as she does.
