Very useful. If you desync a 2020 Ford Ranger, you can resync the fob by making an attempt on the phone app and then manually unlocking the truck and starting the truck. Then your fob will work again.

It’s only programmable through their network, of course I would be the idiot to do this. 😩 I think the flipper is too much power for people like myself, I am going to have to go back to the sharpening block.

Typically you hold the fob to the start button for these programming steps. And use the fob to press the start button without holding the brake to go to key position 1. No different than if your fob battery dies. You can still hold it to the button and press the button with your foot on the brake to start the car. The near field communication can still read the fob if it's close to the button.

I think the problem here is that this example can only be used for unethical hacking and car theft. Can a car be unlocked without having access to the key? Thats the only way this would be useful for someone with strong ethics to assist in car-key lockouts.

Mine has rolling codes, but on a certain frequency. Even if the car unlocks it and flip or picks up the code you can unlock and lock my car.
