I’m looking for more info on my grandfather Hubbard Hubert Ferrell ( 1645-1676) who is from county Longford Ireland. He came with his father Brian Ferrell to Jamestown in 1658 and was killed at kings creek during Bacons Rebellion. Very sad story with the loss of his wife three years prior , he was 31 .

The voyages depended greatly on the ship, the owners, and the captain. When we researched further into the actual ships, we found many who offered safe passage with good food and sanitary conditions on board. But, the majority of ships sailed with profits in mind. Most of the indentured servant passengers became sick from lack of food and fresh water.
