No one has mentioned that not only are Deloris's ears round and prominent, so are her eyes. She has gossupy moments, so she not only hears everything, she sees all.

Every time I hear people calling latino people latinx I lose a few years of my lifetime. I dread the day that someone refers to me as latinx directly. Either say latino that includes everybody (regardless of gender) anyway or latine which is OUR gender-neutral version of the word. This attempt of being inclusive is so backwards to me, foreigners try to include us in something using our language while completely ignoring our input about it and language structure.

This movie was delightful, from start to finish, and I loved how how there was no twist villain, with the family past being the primary source of conflict.

People wanted to change it because Latino is the masculine version if you’re referring to one person, so it’s like changing “humanity” or “huwomanity” to “huanity” or something to attempt to remove the “masculine” part of the word. Dunno if you’re familiar with the way the language is structured to begin with, but there’s a feminine or masculine version of nouns, usually just swapping o for a or vise versa, and most words are either feminine or masculine, which is apparently problematic for people.

I’m from Chile, and even though I love Colombia we literally do not share more than one or two cultural aspects and we mostly can’t relate to what’s known as “latino”. I really love how many talented people were in this project. Their work is fantastic and I really loved this movie even though I like 17+ content more.
I appreciate the time and effort for the team who made Encanto. I've noticed how much animated filmmakers are helping present a more accurate and authentic animation and storytelling so that they can help support the people they are wanting to have represented and to reach audiences.

As a Salvadoran Brazilian I am beyond happy to see characters I can more relate to in popular animation. I started doing 3D 2 years ago and it makes me excited to see movies like Encanto being produced today
When I saw the part of the movie about "Bruno no, no", I notice something weird about the movement of their feet: too bouncy. I am not surprised now as the dancers was wearing sneakers! For rehearsal that fine but for the final movie, they should have worn espadrilles. Walt Disney would have never passed this detail which not a tiny detail considering shoes is part of dancing, isn't it?

Love the costume design but want to point out that, that kind of outfits were used in the 30's or 40's-ish in Colombia, no one dresses like that now, except for dance or traditional performances :) Also, that kind of house can be found only in rural areas, I recommend visiting Salamina in the state of Caldas- Colombia or Villa de Leyva in the state of Boyacá- Colombia if you want to see that kind of architecture, otherwise the cities are just cement and concrete :)
I think that's the point! Remember they were cut off from the world 50 years ago in the movie. They've been living separately from the modern world Because of the magic of the 'encanto'. I'm pretty sure that's why everything is outdated :)

I think that's the point! Remember they were cut off from the world 50 years ago in the movie. They've been living separately from the modern world Because of the magic of the 'encanto'. I'm pretty sure that's why everything is outdated :)
