This is the best IVF rundown I've ever seen and I've watched a lot of videos. Concise and to the point but not oversimplified which I feel like most fertility clinic sites blogs and videos are are really bad about. Thank you so much!!
This is very informative, I was pregnant in 2020 with 3 months conform pregnancy first time after 6 years try. We are trying again yet not results yet. I'm going to be 35 in March. I do have my full thyroid removed in 2016 due to thyroid cancer, and gallbladder removed in 2020 after my misscarge. What could help me to get pregnant naturally?
How long does the entire ivf take and what birth control is prescribed? My idea is to go ahead and start that birth control and prenatals so I can speed up the process.I’m also in the same city as you 🤞🏼you’re able to be my doctor.
I’m cd 4 and they only have me on bcp. Is this normal? When should I be starting injections? The only reason I’m doing IVF is because I don’t have tubes( tubal ligation/reversal/ectopic). I have 4 kids from a previous marriage. Is it different since I’ve had children in the past?
It's normal to start with bcp for some protocols. This helps to synchronize the follicles to grow together so that hopefully will maximize the number of mature eggs you get.
So for everyone stims start at different times in their cycle? I’m concerned since I haven’t sat with a coordinator yet, I hope I didn’t miss my window for anything.
@@_gema143 BCP are usually for 2-3 wks prior to starting stim. I'm not sure what protocol you are doing, but check out this video to learn about one of the protocols called an Antagonist Protocol to learn how it works: ua-cam.com/video/dQSfrCPXErQ/v-deo.html

it is a device placed in the vagina where the embryos grow (opposed to growing in the lab with conventional IVF). The lab and embryo growth is a critical component of IVF, and there isn't great evidence for using it. So I usually don't recommend it to patients.
