Just ordered a pair,my everyday shoe is the puma aviator, only buying puma shoes for my rotation now, seem to suit my feet better than the others out there.👍😁
I see the nitro pwr sqd 2 is out, would love to see a comparison between the original and the second version or just a review on the second version, these are easily my best shoe for everyday, everything.thanks and good luck mate.👍
Jake, As a running shoe, take a look at the Hylo Impact. They're claiming 20% greater rebound with their supercritical foam and comments seem positive so far. Fit seems generous but I can't verify. P.S. Back is looking sick!
Awesome. Been waiting for your take on these. They look good for most casual gym goers and Nitro foam is supposed to be durable (30-60 mi break-in). Seems like the Saucony Cross Sport might be better for wider feet.
Hi Jake they just launched the second version of the SQD. Can you maybe do a review on them? Additionally, how come there is so little information about the SQD line? There are no reviews to be found except for your video.
I've already got them on my list when I'm back in Austin! I'm not sure, tbh. I feel like PUMA doesn't do a good job of advertising and most reviewers only review things that give them huge commissions, imo, which is why you don't see smaller brands and fringe models more often. Big media would never touch these
@@thatfitfriend also, can you maybe explain what the difference is between their PWRframe TR line fpr example the third and this Sqd line? Both are training shoes right?
I guess it’s a HIIT shoe like many major brands have released in the last 2 to 3 years, Adidas is in that game now with the Rapidmove series, Nike with the Free Metcon and the SuperRep too. To me now there are 3 types of training shoes: - really versatile: nanos, UA tribase reign, Adidas dropset 1 and 2, free metcon and metcon turbo for Nike, Puma Fuse - the « more into weightlifting »: nike metcon 7 to 9 for example - the typical HIIT cardio shoes: Rapidmove, SuperRep, and now these Pumas
@@thatfitfriend Def true, barefoot shoes are not a good option for all activities and all people. But what I don't like about regular shoes is the narrow toe box, and barefoot shoes seem to be the only ones with a wide one 🫤 the thick sole of regular shoes o wouldn't mind
Oh I know very well why in my case: they don’t release anything under size 7 or 25cm… I’m a small guy wearing 6.5 😅 same goes for UA nice shoes but they don’t release anything in my size.
I believe this is the all arounder i have been looking for
Just ordered these for £50 off the puma store. Happy. 🙂

Yes Jake! Thanks for this!
Thank you for checking it out!
Thanks for the review. Got the shoe. It's an all-rounder. HIIT. Basketball. Short Runs.
My ALTRAs will be solely used for long runs.
Heck yeah. Stoked to hear you’re liking them!

I'll take a loot at them! Thank you for the tip.
And thank you!!

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah, I like them more than the Saucony, honestly. That shoe's toe spring is stupid aggressive
I use these shoes for calisthenics, but when running I use the velocity nitro 2

You can get these for a great price. Excellent all-rounder. I just wish Puma made some better colourways.
@@Wladislav the 2s came out so now these are on sale 🤌🤌
@@thatfitfriend Ah, that makes sense. Let's see if the 2s are even better than these.
@@Wladislavthat would be hard, just bought 3 more pairs of the originals for AUD$70,unbeleivable value on the only shoe I wear 🤗😁👍
Above should read AUD$70 a pair ,just to clarify 👍😁
Talla correcta o son amplios?
It killed Jake once again. I'll try to import the model, as I found it perfect after this detailed answer.
Love hearing that! Thank you for checking out the video!
Would you recommend getting the Puma Fuse 3's instead of these?
Depends how you train! Whats your week look like?

What puma would you suggest for weight lifting
Puma FUSE 3!
So is this the best puma for the gym? Weights?
PUMA Fuse 3 is best for weight, these are great for HIIT
Its similar to puma disperse xt 2 mesh?
This is the more "premium" model that I'd put in the same product cat!
Having been watching reviews from barefoot shoes lately, this is very striking as the complete opposite 😂
Haha def is! I rotate my shoes based on what I’m doing. Shoes are tools for accomplishing different tasks at hand 👟

Is similar to puma power xx nitro luxe?
Yes
idk why Puma can't get in my heart haha. I don't rememebr the last shoe trainer I liked

You're a Reebok guy! Ain't nothing wrong with that
