When spiritual leaders become discouraged, they should envision the day when God's spiritual temple is completed and transformed into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul illustrated this principle regarding the future bride of Christ when he wrote to the Thessalonians, "For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you?" (I Thessalonians 2:19). It's easy for a spiritual leader to become discouraged, if they focus on the overall state of the body of Christ, or the overall state of the local body for whom they serve, but the spiritual leader should be looking from God's point of view. Ephesians 5:25 tells us that Jesus gave Himself for His Bride, so we are, even now, totally clean without spot or wrinkle because we are hidden in Him (Colossians 3:3), and in Him we are completely righteous (Romans 5:19). Because of the precious blood of Jesus, we are now accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6). If we are accepted, then it is because we are already spotless in Christ. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.
Building God's Church? As in, you think that WE need to build God's Church. Sorry, wrong. Jesus said, "I will build my church" Let me repeat it "I will build my church" Jesus does the building, not us.
