Hi Martin,... thank you for the tour! That's a great board... IF you ever wanna try stereo with your Mesa try a Tweed Deluxe... and maybe even put a volume pedal in line to the Tweed so you can bring it in and out as you'd like... if not a Tweed Deluxe, then maybe the Mesa California ... if you do the Tweed Deluxe, the speaker to have in it is the Weber 12a125a ... as an amp builder I've tried dozens of speakers with my personal tweed deluxe and that IS the magic speaker for that amp! Try it, it will change your life! 😂😂😂
Hi Mark, thanks for the suggestions. I used to run two lonestars in stereo when I was using my Intelifex. Only down side was the lifting it around and the volume 😂
@@MartinWaughGITA I've tried many stereo pairings over the years... my favorites are the Tweed Deluxe with either a Deluxe Reverb, or a JTM45,... it's just other-worldly hahaha... be kind to your back though!! Haha, and as always, I surely enjoy the content you folks put out!! Keep it up !! 🔥🔥🎸🎸🔥🔥
I’ve never really went down the pedal rabbit hole but the force is strong with you young skywalker ! Non rig question-Moon inlay on the Strat ??? What a demo Martin 🏴
Hi David. Yer, the moon was put in by Jimmy Moon, an amazing builder in Glasgow. When I got the guitar back from my uncle, it had over 30 years of hard gigging, and the board was gone. So Jimmy replaced the board frets and couldn't save the clay dots, hence the moon. 😊

Really enjoyed your round up of the board. Sounds amazing. Please don’t think I’m mad but sometime please try a Maxon SD9 Sonic Distortion for thick fat tones. I feel you would be suprised at the results. It’s a much flatter eq through out & very responsive to the guitars volume. Gain on just past 2 o’clock, tone between 7&8 o’clock. Keep the Strats tone control really low too 👍

That strat looks really old. Is it one of those pre-CBS strats? Pickups would be 1963 or so?
