Yoyoka has to be one of the worlds best drummers. This set was all about dynamics, and she demonstrated complete control. Just from a person taste perspective, I love contrast. I think contrast is what defines life, or at least lets you see it. And this performance was just all contrast. It literally brought tears to my eyes. She is always a joy to watch play because of her joy for playing. But this was next level, and at the end she turns back into a kid again. Just realized that is another level of contrast. Drum Goddess, to kid. Yoyoka... words can't say how much I appreciate your skills and the joy with which you gift us with them.
It's so cool how so many of us have watched Yoyoka go from impressive covers as a child to becoming a legit monster on the drums with incredible feel and touch.
If you watch and listen you can see all the little things from her drum lessons that she still incorporates and embellishes on to become that super talent that she just keeps growing.
Yoyoka is now the King of all Monsters! The sound engineer for this show is a close second though! I’m listening over AirPod Max headphones and it’s like a binaural sound field! No grounding issue, piece clean sound! Yoyoka’s intro had so much volume and speed control on her snare you could hear the faintest ghost notes but then when she included her toms kick and cymbals nothing was overpowering anything else, it was like being there!
That was amazing! I never thought I would see anyone who I liked as much as Bonham but this is it!
Once again Yoyoka demonstrates why we all support and cheer her on.
What can I say but, after 60 years of drumming where is match so I can set my kits on fire! OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

I've watched probably about 96% of all her recorded performances and sessions since that "Ishikari no duo Kaneai" video, the one where her dad gave a tour of his home studio that starts out showing the ducks on the lake and then 2-year old Yoyoka sitting in tiny bell-bottom jeans between her mom and dad. And I have to say, this performance here in Shibuya is her best. She completely dominated the set and choreographed it perfectly. Her timing was laser and it touched on all her stylings up to now. This is the one. If you only watch one Yoyoka video, this is the one. But I'm sure she'll surpass even this one in due time.

アメリカと日本での素晴らしいドラムソロの映像を、それぞれアップしてくれてありがとう！アメリカでのソロは、演奏中に聴衆の反応が結構ありましたが、日本のお客さんはやはり静かに聴く感じですね。面白いと思いました。それと、今回のソロでは、途中のカウベル一発が私は結構気に入ってます。夏休みが終わったら、学校での勉強がんばってください！

Well on her way to becoming one of the best drummers ever. Just imagine the potential with her young age and already mind blowing talent. Buckle in everybody! It will only get better!
If Yoyoka continues to progress as she has, I cannot fathom where she will land on the all-time charts. Currently, it seems, asian girls are completely dominating percussion with Kalonika, Kanade, Senri, and countless others. Kinda nice to see.

@@sms95501 No it was a ticketed event that was set up to watch live. It was 35$ I think and streamed at High Res. The second concert in Sapporo was a Patreon live stream, and available for 30 days after (expires on Friday) available to anyone at 25$ and above
