@@HoraceAlt775 It looks like he has a little burst. I mean he's 5'11 230 so I wouldn't be expecting that much speed from him. I think he ran a 4.5 on his pro day though
@@CallMeAlika Ran a 4.58 at pro day pretty sure he was cocky and didnt practice his 40. Cut his 40 by almost .2 seconds in a couple weeks and you can see him gap DBs I wouldnt be surprised if his true speed is closer to 4.45
@@CallMeAlika Jerome Bettis and Terrell Davis both ran 4.7's as well. Estime's pro day 40 was very similar to Emmitt Smith's.. He's not a burner, but he has plenty to be a good NFL RB.
People are getting it wrong. They're saying he's a power back that doesn't go down in a first contact. That's implying he is powering through tacklers. However, he's actually extremely shifty. The first guy really doesn't get a shot on him. If anything, it's a glancing blow if that... and then his stout size is his advantage. Throw in the fact that he's actually a very high athlete and has a great burst of speed. I was actually very down on him after watching highlights previously, but his vision and shake are very good. I'd say he's easily an early Day 2 selection. Also, add in the sweet hands. I'd love the Eagles to grab him. I think he's a workhouse back at the Pro level and I could see him being at top 10 back in the league.
This dude would be a all pro behind eagles Oline… ughhh I don’t even wana think about it… the gaps… I’d love to see him utilize his stiff arm against these slim DBs and really throw them out the club but man he’s got that explosiveness
I hope you know that every team is looking at all these guys and rarely does anyone go under the radar. If players do theyre day 2 or 3 level d2 or lower division guys
I can see Estime and Kyren Williams being a great combo on the rams Running behind the improved interior that’s going to be scary I hope they do it because if Kyren gets hurt they need a talented RB who can step in and take the work Load not bad having two good RB’s really like what the Lions did and both of them are Norte Dame RB’s
I don't understand why, they say this Rb class is weak. His skills look like they will translate to NFL very well. He's gonna be a steal. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with the best career in the class. If teams think he can pass block their gonna be sad when he's gone. Definitely has the frame for it & his hands looked pretty soft.
Honestly he isn’t that different coming out than Josh jacobs was… Height: 5’10”(Jacobs) 5’11”(Estime). Weight 220(both). Damn near identical hand size and arm length. Jacobs ran 4.64 at his pro day (everyone runs faster at their pro day, unless you show up hella unprepared) Estime ran 4.71 at the combine, so jacobs probably BARELY edges out Estime in straight line speed, but most likely is too close to notice a huge difference on the field. Their 10 yard splits were almost identical 1.60 (jacobs) 1.58(Estime). Estime has a better vertical and broad jump which is a testament to his explosiveness- Vertical: 35”(Jacobs) 38”(Estime) Broadjump: 9’4”(Jacobs) 10’5”(Estime). Like Jacobs, Estime compensates for his lack of straight line speed with great vision, strength and contact balance, making him effective in any scheme. Also like Jacobs, even though the 40yd dash speed wasn’t fast, there’s multiple instances of him separating and blowin past guys when he does open up. Jacobs had Quicker/better and more sudden feet in the beginning of the rush, but Estime has shown the ability to jump cut and does it with surprising efficiency in the run game. Both are hard to take down because of their ability to vary their speed, and covert the speed to power. Estime can run through defenders like Jacobs, but can just as easily hurdle multiple defenders in traffic without breaking stride. He’s also an underrated receiver like Jacobs. Jacobs proved you don’t have to be a combine superstar to go on and lead the NFL in rushing. In the right system, I believe Estime’s future could be just as bright, in the right system. This is all to say he is being Crazily Slept on, especially with what he was able to show on the field. The team drafting him is gonna get a gem!
Beast! Perfect attributes for an NFL RB. Big, fast, agile and good vision. Don’t be surprised if he sneaks into the late 1st round to a team like the Ravens. He will need to simmer down on the leaping defenders tho, he will get injured eventually. Lastly, these are also Joe Alt highlights lol he’s a beast too
