Hearing Price complain about stun-locking just gave me flashbacks to when me and my friends used to play BlazBlue on the ps3. I've never been good at fighting games so I always chose Taokaka because you could easily stun-lock almost all the characters.

To those who don't know, the game ash is talking about is bomb rush cyber funk, by Team Reptile the creators of the game you see here, lethal league blaze.
I Encourage everyone to go check out their trailers on UA-cam, because the game looks very good even if you haven't played "jetset radio" before. Ok, so I have never played the game, but I am *that* kind of nerd to know:
-The direction of your hit is predictable, from what I know it depends on the chracter an how you hit it (an air hit will send it down+direction you are facing. I also think there are diff kinds of hit's as well)
-There is a "grab" move that will grab the ball and send it horizontal or vertical in a set speed, you can grab the ball out of a hit animation from somebody else
-Did you see the blue circle pop up when somebody hit the ball? That is due to button mashing, you can press a button (dunno wich, remember? never played the game) to counter a grab attempt out of the hit animation

A big part of the game is knowing the direction where the ball is gonna go and the timing when it is released, for the timing the radio at the bottom has two bars that show when the ball is released as help.

Minor corrections. The blue circle is a parry and is used to prevent other players from immediately knocking the ball with a bunt or strike once the charging (also known as hitlag) finishes (if timed correctly). Players who hit a parry will be stunned for a second. This is to prevent an infinite loop of players hitting the ball at the end of the hitlag so it doesn’t move from its current location.
Grabs however is a counter to the parry and will knockout (usually) the person charging the ball during a parry. (Attempting to grab a ball during hitlag while it isn’t being parried will stun the grabbing player briefly instead.)
Essentially, it is a rock-paper-scissors mechanic. Though there is a possibility of just grabbing the ball immediately after release without having to wait for a parry, but the time and direction you grab and throw is very predictable that the other players can get away/take control of the ball again at a reasonable spot.

Latch power is OP because you can control the ball. Most of the power kinda move the ball randomly and pray for the RNG. XD
