The fact that Foreman Spike from Wrecking Crew is in the Mario movie makes me think that it's going to start in "real" New York with Mario as an ordinary blue-collar guy and Spike as the big bully character, then something magical happens and he gets whisked off to the Mushroom Kingdom and has to become a real hero(TM)! It's just clichéd enough to be real. Also the fact that they cast Chris "Peter Quill" "Emmet the Lego minifigure" Pratt, who's shown that he's good at portraying the everyman catapulted into fantastical adventures. (Still a bizarre choice for Mario though.)
Grayfruit's complaint at 40:16 is almost in rhythm with Diddy Kong crying. Damn. There actually are many scenes here in rhythm or perfect timing with Grayfruit's actions.

Biggest problem with the GBA is that it's soundchip can be a bit shit at times when adapting SNES tracks.
