Mamamoo members look so beautiful with or without make-up. They always come out in a natural way with confidence. I don’t like that the show or that female mc point out Solar without make-up as an unrecognizable person when she actually looks so pretty just the hair is kinda messy which is understandable. Duh🙄, they really do Mamamoo dirty!!! Last episode was the trashy edits, now the mindset that female idols need to wear make-up or to be skinny... -_-
But also I love the fact that they don't change who they are. They have been in zillion shows where MCs/ guests made fun of their non-make up look yet they never change.
@@huejie that’s one of the reasons why I love Mamamoo, they try to change that kind of mindset with their confidence. Solar has said that “You don’t look confident just because people call you so. If you act or do sth with confidence, it is natural that everyone sees you as a confident person. So Mamamoo members always do whatever they want with confidence as long as it’s not a crime”. I’m happy that they’re able to be themselves, even if there are some people that will judge them.

Ani Alonk I saw it too a while ago, as a viewer, that moment was serious and her effort to evaluate the girls appeared to be a small deal because of the "funny" edits and comments. They were about to embark on another level of their career. Purple Kiss was honest and appreciative about it. It was a little bit cringey and awkward to watch those scenes, just to produce some (again) "funny" clips. Her intention was to help and prepare them, if these people behind the show along with some of the hosts were not convinced how genuine she was, they should've left the video unedited or just talked about how the leader/evaluator had done her role in a different perspective rather than just emphasizing Purple Kiss' reactions and feelings. This is just what I had in mind while watching it. 🤷♀️
Moonbyul talked about her loosing weight to in this show. She said she went from 60kg to 45kg. Which is really underweight. One of the hosts said “good for her”. A tv show should never say something like that. That was an awful message and it’s completely un true. Moonbyul looked fine in the beginning. It’s also really hard to lose weight when you have a normal BMI. Her body was fine. One of the things the company could’ve suggested her was working out for building muscle, but never loosing that much weight. These shows need to make a drama out of everything. Just to make it “entertaining”. This show seems to be more about what the hosts think about it then the actual video they are watching. Which in my opinion is an terrible concept. If they sometimes say something it’s okay, but they react to every single thing.

It is korean culture. Even you want to film any woman in korea, you need to ask them because they prefer to wear a makeup and go to the salon before you can film them. Even older woman in korea also do this. This is part of their culture which different from man. Woman need to be beautiful or at least wear a makeup. It really a bad culture, but that is how their ancestors behave in front of public.
why does the show's mc's act like she doesn't look exactly the same but with messier hair? Like look at 0:31 and she literally looks the same like herself in the panelist booth. Also the show editing and commenting on yong as if she's "old/boomer" just because she turned 30 (kr age) when she's the youngest panelist is painfully ironic. The overall editing & commentary of the show feels ageist and sexist, especially to women in the idol industry who already suffers from those comments daily, so unnecessary.
The editing of this show is terrible. And they keep emphasizing on their diets and their looks. Truly disappointing! They had an opportunity to show genuine leadership of one of the top girl groups and Solar as a role model, but instead they take cheap shots. :(
I agree. I can't even imagine how Solar might have truly felt given she's seeing these edits plus hearing these host's comments at the same time. I was watching a previous episode earlier when she'd evaluated Purple Kiss and gave them a heartfelt advise, and rather than laughing about it, and focusing on the essence of the situation, I find the comments confusing. The comments were entirely umatched and exagerrating. Their guests might have laughed for the "right" reaction but it felt like they were putting them on the spot to criticize their roles in their team. 🤷♀️
