Apparently Chita is a young Brazilian woman who lost her eye after an argument with her abusive boyfriend, who dumped her afterwards. She became a depressed shut-in who saw little worth in the world.
Ever since she met the extremely powerful and arrogant Rodeaux, he's been pushing her to get stronger. He's the one who gave her her mask so she could get over her injury, ironically this makes people even more afraid of her.
In spite of his verbal abuse towards his partner, Rodeaux still cares about Chita, and not only because he needs her to become king. I remember when his book burned in the manga, he urged her to get over her missing eye, explore the world, and fall in love. All in all, she matters to him and I saw how Chita was crying after Rodeaux disappeared. They placed 13th of the 100 demons in the battle.
What's more is that Rodeaux's last words took effect. Chita was seen near the end of the manga without her mask and working as a nurse when she reads Rodeaux's letter.
Rein was very powerful wish he did not lose that early.
If he had a better and stronger human as a book reader he would be more powerful than Brago or Bary

@@Emonstrerr Yeah, but none of the demons have a say in this battle. Koruru and Rein are among the 100 children who were forced into the tournament against their will. Apparently though, Rein isn't so much of a pacifist that the king had to implant a vicious personality like he did to Koruru.

@@EmonstrerrThat's also a problem. Kyle, being a kid, can't handle the strain of casting Rein's powerful spells. It makes sense that most of the demon partners are teenagers and adults.
Now Clear Note's partner Vino is a huge exception, capable of casting so many powerful spells even though he's an infant.

The logic of heart power confuses me a lot even though I've posted my own Gash Bell videos. She said she didn't have enough power to cast Dioga Ragyuuru at 2:40 and yet she used Gigano Ragyuuru a bunch of times before finally unleashing Dioga Ragyuuru a second time at 9:27.
What kind of logic is that?
Because gigano class spell is a lower tier than dioga class spell so doesn’t use as much heart power plus they can recover power over time or with extremely powerful emotions

It’s never explained, but an accident of sorts took her eye and scared her face. She refused to go outside because of it, so her demon partner gave her the metal mask.
