Linkin Park’s sound was incredibly unique. Very different. No other band at that time couldn’t compare. They combined so many genres and blend it into their own.

The rhythm guitar and especially the bass has always been my favorite features on this song or any song from Meteora for that matter. If you haven’t before, isolate yourself somewhere with no distractions, cut off the lights with some headphones and just listen to this. It’s moving. I remember being like in the 6th grade when this album came out. I couldn’t play string instruments for anything, but you can bet your ass I’d always be air strumming bass to their songs, trying to imitate the way they play in their music videos. 😂 Even the instrumentals of this album are great. Rest easy Chester, you legend.

I cut on my tv one summer break morning and as if it was more than a coincidence, the very first song I heard/saw from Linkin Park was “Faint.” I saw the video for “Somewhere I Belong” a little later and it was a wrap. “Numb” was just being released etc. What was also crazy to me was that after all of that, I saw the music Video for “Crawling” and thought it was another new album, only finding out it came before Meteora.
