This was a excellent guide to bachata musicality. Yes, a Dance application of it would be very appreciated.
A hint. Changes usually happen after 4 eights. Use the following counting to predict most changes:
    1-2-3, 5-6-7.
    1-2-3, 5-6-half.
    1-2-3, 5-6-7.
    1-2-3, 5-6-change.

Yes, it would be good to see a dance and how it relates and changes with the structure

Thanks! I'd love to see more about moves i can do with a partner during these unusual breaks.
i know plenty of moves but with the songs that don't follow the authentic structure it is hard to make it look pretty (aventura-inmortal is a confusing one too at times).
I usually do a mambo step or hard break step of 4 counts to get back into it but it doesn't fit that well with the style of music. some bachata sensual moves can be slowed down to extent beyond the 8 count but for that song; it doesn't feel nice either haha

Congratulations, very useful video. He taught me many things. Are you planning to do something similar in salsa?

Nice videos! I watched both parts and got a lot of musical understanding. The "!" is fascinating, it explains why I lose the 1 count and I'm left wondering what happened! The tool emusicality is excellent, thanks for sharing that!
What I didn't get was what moves do I do during each section. Mambo=footwork? Breakdown=sensual? Chorus=fast moves? Intro? Outro? Bridge? Could you share suggested dance patterns to use during each section?

Sure. We can do a video about this. We have done one for salsa, but we can do one for bachata too 😀

20:15 One note on the "5 eigths in one section" situation. I've noticed a few songs with such element. In this one, focusing on the bass in particular. Typically in a normal section the bass changes note/chord every 8 beats. For example:
    C(8) A(8) F(8) G(8)
In this song however, in the verse section with the 5 beats, the bass extends its note counting through 12 beats in the first 3 eights:
    G(12) F(12) A(8) G(8)
(Notes are not right, just for example). So in the end the bass still goes through the same 4 chord pattern, it just lasts longer in the first cases.
I don't know if it was understandable, but essencially this causes not much harm to dancers, as the last eights of the section is still regular and the break is clear.
