My heart is gladdened to see this today! Have missed this. Continuing to pray hard for all of you.
Loved the study. I just happened to have finished this chapter. I was really hoping you would get to the middle through the end of the chapter explaining what this feast is. I never really paid attention. I am hoping you will soon explain this all to me. It seems like the feast will begin with an angel standing in the sun telling all the fowl to gather to eat all the flesh of the men defeated by Jesus in this final battle. I used to picture this beautiful setting for this banquet. This actual version sounds pretty awesome to me.
What do my brethren think about this? Have you ever noticed this before?
Revelation 19:17-21
[17]And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
[18]That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
[19]And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
[20]And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
[21]And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

I would add, Dispensationalism is as erroneous as Christians believing God's instructions (Torah) do not apply to them. It further creates the divide of them vs us.....and it's wrong!
Walking in God's Torah (not Jewish Talmud) doesn't make you Jewish, it makes you obedient because of your faith. We DO because He DID!

Glad you’re back, Joel! I totally agree that the OT story of God’s marriage to Israel at Mt Sinai is very important for believers to understand in order to understand the marriage supper of the Lamb and the Bride in Revelation. I believe there is 1 Bride and 1 Bridegroom, but I disagree on one wedding. The marriage relationship between God and Israel couldn’t be consummated, even though He dwelt (tabernacled) among His wife. By coming as Jesus, now He can renew the marriage with all who receive Him, His ketubah is written on our heart when we join to Him by Spirit, consummating the marriage. His glory and fire fills us and we can be fruitful. When we understand that, then believers will be able to endure what is coming because we know we are married to Him. The marriage supper of the Lamb is when Jesus presents His wife made new and complete - all her members joined as one Bride, on His mountain, Zion, that comes down to earth.

I'm reading Sinai to Zion, and I'm at the part where Joel explains the Covenant on the mountain that was a wedding between God and Israel. There are parallels between the Old Testament covenants (a foreshadowing of things to come) and the New Testament (the fulfillment). I start listening to this lesson and my mind is starting to see a picture unfolding here.

This sits well with me but logistically I cannot see how such a large wedding feast could fit on Mount Mariah or even Jerusalem.
The Bible says the seas will all be dried up. Perhaps all the surrounding land masses will converge with Jerusalem and make a huge mountain. I have no idea if that is likely. lol

The righteous acts are acts of obedience. Tracing the Greek back through the Septuagint and then the underlying Hebrew shows this. It is acts of obedience to the Lord where we don’t specifically understand why we are being asked to do them, as opposed to commandments that have an explanation or promise attached e.g. honour your father and mother SO THAT you have a long life
I wish you didn’t say all Reformed guys accept replacement theology. It isn’t found in any of our confessions and although I accept it appears to have taken over, it was never their historic position. Ryle, Spurgeon, McCheyne, countless names were historically PreMillennial. The tragedy of the change in eschatology has been devastating, yet they remain clueless. Not the only case…Did you see Deuteronomy 24:1. Israel committed spiritual incest which is why Jehovah DIVORCED HER (hos 2). The bride of Christ is a VIRGIN (eph 5)
What remarriage? YHVH (that is Jesus) was betrothed at Sinai. A betrothal is as absolutely binding as marriage, but not yet consummated and the couple does not yet live together. The betrothal continues until the bridegroom comes to the bride's city to complete the marriage. Jesus will return to claim the bride. He is still betrothed to Israel, and we get grafted in.

At 25:20 I do not understand why the pretrib rapture needs to be “corrected” with the understanding of who is the bride.
Thess 1 is still true, where essentially the faithful are raptured and meet Jesus in the air (not his second coming) which protects us from the wrath of God while the unfaithful go through the tribulation. We are not destined for wrath and are to be comforted with the words, else why be raptured at all?
At the end of the tribulation, God gathers the remaining elect from the four corners. These are different from the pretrib elect.
Yes, Mathew and Thessalonians is similar, but there is enough nuance for it to be different.
All who came to Christ are at the marriage supper in the end.
Two completely different subjects.
In addition, if you don’t believing the pretrib rapture, you must also believe that genuine Christians can lose their salvation. God would never put them in a position to be forced to take the damning mark of the beast, which many weak Christians would likely do.

An important question is how many of us believers will be able to accept the terms of the ketubah, the Torah? Christianity writ large abrogates or denies the validity of Torah.
I ask us all: What is sin, and how will you recognize it? And with that, what does obedience look like?
The answer is in the Living Torah.

Hebrews 7:19, "For the Law made nothing perfect, but the bringing of a better hope did, by the which we draw nigh unto God".....so, We, the Church and Body of Christ are under the New Covenant and NOT under the Law.
Do you know what the new covenant is Scripturally?
There is a partial correctness there.
By putting faith in Christ you now are not in bondage to sin. You are not a slave to it. You have an advocate. Prior to that, living in sin and it's condemnation was your only option.
An analogy often used, You commit a crime and before the judge Christ walks in and says "I will take the fine". It normally stops there, but in actuality, we must ask, does that mean He went out and pulled up all the stop signs, laws, etc so you are free to do what you want OR are we free to go out and obey without being condemned? The latter is true.
"If you love me, keep my commandments" Christ didn't come to do what He wanted, but the will of the Father.
"...those who keep the commandments of God AND firmly hold to the testimony of Jesus."

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish (uphold) the law.

For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 23:1-3
Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat (teaching the law). Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
When Paul says through Christ we are no longer "under the law" I believe he is speaking of "the law of sin and death". Paul often times does not define what "law" he is referring to so it can be very confusing.
Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Law of sin and death:
The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)
Remember sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4) (breaking God's law)
Through Christ we are able to be forgiven (record of sin erased from the books) therefore we are not held accountable for the sins we have been forgiven of.
Does that make God's law no longer needed? No!
Romans 6:1-2
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?"
the new covenant is not under the Law or the traditions of the Jews they grew up with. The new covenant is under the teachings of Jesus which is for all, Jews and gentiles.

Joel - I love you, I love your teaching and broad knowledge of Holy Scripture.
In the topic here, there is one thing I ask you to consider:
Paul clearly wrote to TWO different groups of Gentiles -
1) those who (or essentially, whose lineage) had a previous covenant with God but were separated from it, and
2) those who had never been in covenant with God.
When we Christians relate to Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son, we are doing so as if we had once been in a Relationship with God. Was Jesus speaking about Gentiles?
That parable was the essence of the book of Hosea. The elder brother, who had never been separated from covenant relationship (though he lived it rather rigidly) represented the Jews. The younger brother represented the tribes of Israel who Paul was speaking to in Romans 7:1-4.
Two groups of Gentiles.
We don’t see ourselves very accurately at times in the Old Testament prophets because even though we appropriate (to Christians) many covenant promises they made to Israel, we think that New Covenant believers were always considered Gentiles by them.
But the Old Testament prophets had NO WORD for an uncircumcised person living in a Covenant Relationship with God.
So when the Holy Spirit was giving them prophecies to future Christians, we could be called Gentiles - OR - Israel - OR Ephraim; because it was the divorced nation of Israel, sent out to become Gentiles and mix among them, who Paul said could now come back to their Husband because He had died to set them free from the curse of adultery.
And who was the ”Israel” who had been ejected for adultery? Where were they? They were “lost” by intermarrying across the four corners of the earth.
And who did Moses say had a covenant with God? All the tribes, and their descendants who were not there except in their loins. They were divorced, called “Not My People”, and told that they would one day be called “the sons of the living God.”
So I see Gentile Christians as non-Jewish Christians but as a mixture among the nations of remnants of the “lost” 10 tribes who are no longer concerned about whether their DNA ties back to a tribe or not.
But to the Old Testament prophets, many of the prophecies about Israel directly apply to us today - the “multitude of nations” people - and not to the tiny group of Jews who never became a multitude of nations, nor did they inherit that promise. Ephraim did, through Jacob (Israel.)
The name of Israel in the Old Testament can mean Jacob, or the 12 tribes, or the 10 tribes, or the New Covenant believers who would come to the LORD through Jesus. (Actually, though this is predominant in the New Testament, Ezekiel refers to the Jewish elders as Jews early on - but in his prophecies it is clear from chapter 36-39 that he is not using the word that narrowly.)
In the New Testament Israel commonly refers to the Jews, - consisting of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi - with a very tiny remnant of the other 10 tribes who lived with or escaped to the Southern Kingdom of Judah when Assyria carried Israel away in the 8th century BC.
By the time Jesus was born the ONLY PEOPLE who remained who could be identified & called “Israel” were “the Jews.” But Paul speaks of Israel in multiple ways, just as he refers to Gentiles in 2 different ways - because he understood everything I just wrote, and more.

Be zealous lest Yahweh SPEW you out of his mouth. I say THIS, " Do you profess Chist crucified? Yes! We are BROTHERS." Is there sin? Yes, I am not perfect either. Our duty still awaits. In WAR we are wounded every day. If only the perfect fight.. the Hates of Hell will remain untilYeshua splits the sky. Is it NOT the duty of Chritians to tear down the Gates? Then why do they get to enjoy being God's chosen and basically have to do nothing. I do love the Jewish people and God's Covenant. I don't understand because they were chosen have to do nothing but we have to get saved.

Dispensationalists don't take the Israelis' wedding. We believe that the Church, including all the Jews who believe in Jesus as their savior, becomes the Bride of Christ. The Jews who suffer for their rejection of the Messiah are already the Bride of Father God, and they have been his wife since the Abrahamic Covenant, when God created the Jewish nation out of "nothing" (a pagan false god worshipper, Abram). What you're not addressing is the two completely separate groups at the wedding. One is dressed in fine linen on the dais with her husband, and another group has been invited and watches the wedding, partaking in the feast with great celebration. The Bride came to husband because of His great love, and she has been faithful to Him regardless of the opposition they have faced. The Bride kept herself pure and refused to have intimacy with the World. The Bride fought with her husband against the enemy of their family. But there will be some who escape the destrcution of the world as one who has the back of his pants on fire. He believes in Jesus as savior, but he didn't live in a way that allowed him to have intimacy of the marriage. Millions are like this. They truly believe yet either haven't understood the commands of Jesus because of faulty teaching/ignorance or they were too broken to trust the Lord and ended up like Gomer...standing on the slave block purchased back by their husband.
Yes, Dispensationalists believe in two brides. The Bible teaches only one.
The Bride is the New Jerusalem. It's spelled out in Rev 21:2, 9-10.
Nowhere does the Bible say the church is the Bride.
It's just something pretribbers made up to try to explain their misguided eschatology. Claiming that's why we're up in heaven for the 7 year tribulation. Which makes no sense as Rev 19 clearly shows the feast is at the end. Not during the tribulation.

What happened to Dalton?
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
John sees the holy city, new Jerusalem, descending from heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
If you want to know about the Lamb's bride it is much easier to just read what Jesus said about it. Here in Rev 21:9 it clearly says "I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." No cryptic interpretations needed. Rev 21 says it straight forward.
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Rev 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
He is shown holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God and a detailed description of holy Jerusalem. Notice that the 12 apostles are the foundation of the bride. Jesus clearly defines what the bride is for us.

Where in Revelation does it say the Marriage of the Lamb is on Earth? John is in the Throne room seeing these things. Revelation 19:6,7 the great multitude praising the Lord the marriage of the Lamb has come, and they are arrayed in fine linen. Vs 9 write blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb! 11 Faithful and True on a White Horse. 14 the armies in Heaven clothed in fine linen followed him on white horses. If the lamb wedding supper feast is on earth when did they go up to Heaven for the last end of chapter 19?
Hebrew 12:22-23 says " But you have come to the mount zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven."

But I can’t understand why you say the last seven years are the tribulation.
Please concider a different vieuw of Daniel 9:26-27.
Lets look at the text.
Who or what is the subject of the first line of verse 26?
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself.” KJV
Without no doubt it is the Messiah.
Who or what is the subject of the second line of verse 26?
“and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.” KJV
Grammatically, the subject can only be ‘the people’.
Then verse 27 “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week”.
Grammatically, the only possible subject who can be identified as a ‘He’ is the Messiah.
Then we read that "he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,"
As I said: He can only be Messiah. And He is confirming a covenant, NOT makes a covenant.
It is an existing covenant. And He does that AFTER the 69th week. That is in the 70th week.
And in the midst of the week, that is halfway the 70th week, He shall cause the sacrifice to cease.
That happened when HE died as the perfect sacrifice and the veil in the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
So, there is no covenant with the Antichrist.
And there is no seven years left of the 70 weeks. Only 1260 days.
The first 1260 days were for the Messiah. The last 3.5 years for the Antichrist.
Please let me know of this makes sense.

Have you noticed that this verse actually seperates the saints from the Bride. Otherwise it would says that she was clothed with HER righteous acts.
I enjoyed this study, but I don’t understand if we were grafted in Israel, why we are not became part of Israel? Because a lot of us can be part of the dispersion of Israel, without really knowing our ethnicity and be part of reconciliation of the bride with God..and even gentiles, if they are grafted they become part of it!
The Lord is so amazing and loving Him is the greatest gift... great teaching Joel!
