I recall an AMC Pacer making it into the final heat at the Franklin County Fair in Massachusetts back in the early 90's, holding up pretty well against some heavy metal, Detroit Iron-mobiles. We were all laughing at the beginning, but that little bubble car, starkly diminished by the absence of all that signature glass, was still circling around in the mud until the bitter end. If my memory serves me correctly, the Pacer was the last car rendered immobile, a testament regarding the strength and endurance of the AMC body and frame, despite the automaker's other misgivings.

As someone who owns a 1971 Duster 340 and has previously owned a 74 Dart Swinger and a 75 Dart sport i can easily distinguish the models apart . They were all built off the A body platform but alot of the body panels were different .

My first car was a 1975 blue maverick with white pin stripes on the side.I loved that car,but always had problems starting it in the cold winters.I miss the days cruising around in it and turning up loudly my cassette tapes,bad company and kiss.ahhh to go back again.

Is funny how you immediately can ID the Lincoln Continental for the "opera" window and the movie Superfly. Big old bathtub and if you saw one of them things coming down the road, you moved quickly cause there was no surviving an impact with that spaceship. I believe the 1973 Ford Pinto's were called the "exploding" cars.
Scored 42, missed a couple non American cars on this American quiz. The Gremlin X came with V8 and 4 speed. My roommate had one so we always asked him where's the other half of your car? Then we'd go street racing on Saturdays, he flew past us so fast we didn't see him go by.

The front seats would let forward, and you could...well, two people could lay down and cover up and get comfortable. Did you know in wintertime the windows can ice up on the inside only? I miss that car. I had it when I graduated HS in 1976.

4 things; Rambler had merged with AMC by that time so it's actually an AMC Hornet, second car IS definitely a Charger that shared the Chrysler Cordoba body into the late 70s. The Ferrari sure looks like a Lotus, and finally, Corvette discontinued the Stingray moniker after the 76 model although some will say that they "unofficially" carried the name in the first half of '77 production...but it certainly was dead by '78.
