Pinch rollers look good, the numbers point to a very high quality manufacturing. I’m looking at buying two for my Revox PR99 , but now also for technics cassette decks. I’m in Europe, shipping is a headache….
Well, I remember the time, about 35 years ago, when my father replaced rubber pads on the hills of the shoes for my mom with polyurethane. Rubber pads before he was replacing about every two weeks, as these been worn quickly. Polyurethane pads were able to last about a year under the same conditions of daily wear on the street. So, I do not freaking to use this material as you may see. The only thing I will check - is how long it will sit well on the brass and don’t disconnect. So far I got over 30 hours and everything looks fine for me.
Interesting, I have been looking at these pinch rollers for some time now but I got no feedback on them from nobody. It seems that most Sony high end decks have one large and one small pinch roller :). I had to replace the ones for the TC-K555ESG about 2 years ago but ended up ordering them from Slovakia but it would be interesting to see how these work in other decks such as Akais, Aiwas and Naks. I like the fact that these do not leave a residue behind like the normal ones do, probably there is less wear and tear because it is made of a more durable material. Let me know how they do in about one year after of constant usage.
I had to replace rollers from Slovakia after 8 months. Then I was looking for a new supplier from China and found a good one. One for belts and one for pinch rollers.
Can I add a small piece of information - measuring the playback frequency may indeed be dependant on how loud the playback is fed into the measuring equipment!? I don't have the same measuring equipment as you, but I calibrated by meter to read 3150Hz on input to a digital source, but at a defined input level. Why? - well sometimes if we increase the volume/amplitude/loudness of the input the meter 'sees' a lower frequency because the sinewave has a varying gradient from time=0 to its peak etc. Your software may 'know' this and so make adjustments? Love your channel.
wow i might just have to try this on my fostex reel to reel, it seemed like it'd just be the kind of part you'd want new rather than risk shedding onto tape, those wow specs though don't lie, like 89 was a couplea years ago lmao
I need to buy this NAK T-100 software.

That is very interesting. Do they make them for the Technics/Panasonic RS-B900/RS-B965?
They do multiple sizes, please check their web site.

Fantastic low W&F figures! Well done - great deck. Great engineering from Sony.
I wonder if these rollers will last as long as rubber?

A nice job and well evidenced to show their benefit. Have you tried a capstan belt of the clear material yet?
I did not. From my experience, I see that belts that I am installing are 0.003% worse than original :) I can live with that :)

Sure, it is obvious on my oscilloscope. But this software system is very good. More precise and less problematic.
Does their website work? Doesn't open from Ukraine :(
try the direct link, maybe a google issue: www.athan.com/store/c122/CASSETTES.html
@@hifirulezzz thanks, but still doesn't work. I think i just have to use a VPN. It happens sometimes.
Please try, I am already informed them about access issues.
