My heart just skipped a beat after seeing notification from LP.
shubham kaushik mine too
Ikr!
Really man..
Ditto
shubham kaushik seriously, I got soo excited 😂!
Damn I wasn’t prepared to cry today..
How relatable!!!
I can't cry
Me 2
I'm crying now
Mike has amazing vocals. He and Chester blend so well
they have an effect on the mics for this song that blends their voices into one, like in the studio version, where you don’t hear the smooth transition from Mike‘s voice to Chester‘s
Always have... always will
true
They have 3 good singers in the band (Brad, Mike, Chester). Some bands can't find one singer on this level.
@@syntezjaofficial4240 how is brad a good singer? Can you recommend some songs where he sings I can't remember any
One of the most underrated masterpieces of Linkin Park
Legendly's Times. !
Fosho
Amen brother ✝️🔥⚔️
I just recently "discovered" the charme of this song, i mean i heard it before but after listening to the MTs it was just something else... this performance is awesome

Lift me up. Let me go... I’m sorry, Chester, I can’t 😢

Cringe.
My life was never the same again after he went away.
Why
yea same, I started listening to different bands
Me too
It's been tough. Every time I hear One More Light, Breaking the Habit, Leave Out All the Rest, or Valentine's Day, I start feeling sad about it again.
chester lee or who?
Mike's haircut is legendary here
Ikr I thought it wasn't him lol
He must’ve been going through a phase ;)
i shitted myself
Agree❤
He was rocking the justin bieber hairdo
The "Lift me up, let me go" part of the song gives me the chills. It filled my eyes with tears.
Amazing how this part of the song brings such an emotional response
Legendly's Times. !
I saw it live on tv and I was in a bad phase in my life then. It hit me right in the ❤.

Seeing Chester singing live is a privilege that you can no longer buy. Lucky people who had the chance
Thank you 3 times live, 2 m&g
Didn't see them live because I hadn't money for it 😔
I saw them live in 2012 when they were touring with Incubus.
8 shows, Traveled to 5 shows. 2 meet an greets
I saw them live in 2009. Was an amazing experience, but honestly I can't really remember it. So although it was certainly a privilege, my only real memory of it was people fawning over Chester (and who could blame them?!).
Chester always put his soul in every song, you can see him feeling it so hard. RIP.
Mike is great musician. He plays guitar, keyboard and is amazing singer, rapper, producer.
Damn I remember A Thousand Suns being released and being totally bummed out and disappointed that it didn't have many heavy guitars and screaming on it. 10 years later its one of the greatest albums ever in my opinion. Linkin Park always had this ability to be ahead of the curve. And all their music has a timeless quality.
It’s the only album of theirs that tells a wonderfully bleak story from beginning to end while still allowing all of the individual songs to stand out on their own. It’s brilliant.
A Thousand Suns and living things were albums that saved my life, i've been a fan since 2004, and i remember there was a lot of hate after the ATS release, but i remember listening to this album all day for months, ATS made me having strength and Living things helped me to move forward, that's why Linkin Park will never be just a band, they are day by day inside my veins!
Same here!
If you really listen to there songs and look back at them now you really start to realize how just amazing they are.
Unfortunately, people only begin to appreciate when they lose it.
fan since 2003 and was my dream to see them live but never got the chance to hear his voice....
Fortunately I got to see them in 2001 and have been a fan from the moment Chester made his way to the back of the stadium singing into the audience.... I was about 15ft from seeing his beauty of love for the fans.... I miss you Chester Bennington 💞
Aww :( I'm so lucky I saw them live here in Finland 2011. Still got my ticket on the fridge door 🧡
Me neither... im so sad
Same here. It was a huge dream of mine to see them in person and maybe even meet Chester, unfortunately now I'll never get the chance but I'm glad he was here and gave us all the best music he could with the time he had.
Same bro... and I live outseas too
- It was worth it?
- It was worth every damn second
Catalyst is beautiful and powerful song.
“Broken people living under loaded gun” how fitting for this time
i was thinking the same. This whole album (a thousand suns) is very relevant
IKR I can't wait to play this sing live at my school at the end of this year.
Bingo!
So no one's going to talk about Mike's perfect vocals here eh?
I'm pretty sure they are using effects
Masterprima yep they use but u need a good vocal too
@@masterprima7480 You mean Autotune? I don't think Linkin Park ever used it, Mike has been terrible vocally once in a while and so has Chester which is fine - they're human after all - but they don't cheat their fans like that, do they?
Yeah, Mike's vocals were pretty good in this performance.
vi epanije_47 Mike didn’t even sing so Autotune wouldn’t make any sense
A Thousand Suns is my favorite linkin park álbum, just amazing
Agreed.
X2
@@brazilbr4415 Profile pic checks out
A Thousand Suns is my favorite LP album.
If a person who has not heard of LP asks for a recommendation, I would tell them to listen to this Album. It literally defines all the styles they have produced.
I grew up with meteora
Chester might have left this earth but he is a fucking legend and left us legendary music
I honestly don’t know how hard they planned this because it’s poetic how the sunset matches some is the pictures they took as a band during this a thousand suns era. And the final shot with the moon was beautiful. Forsure the most pretty live video they have. Chester sounded really good here. Very thankful to have seen them live multiple times.
Oh dude it was definitely planned out this way, with the shot recording matching the sunset, that’s a precise timing that can only be premeditated
Getting a new notification from Linkin park feels amazing 😭🙏🏻
Mr. Toby true
:( damn
:(
Yes 😢
Auch my heart :(
❤ Linkin Park and miss chester 😢
I am 28 years old man and I cried while listening to this song, realizing how talented person we have lost. Rest in peace, Chester... "God bless us everyone, We're a broken people living under loaded gun."
he was killed not normaly death
Mike's voice in this is amazing
Right? I didn't even know he could sing like that until this song.
Definitely doesn't feel like it's been almost 10 years...
Chester, Shinoda and the rest of the band pushed the boundaries of what a band is capable of making. I'm gonna miss this dynamic of them experimenting with new sounds and tones. I'm gonna miss it a lot.
💔
me too man
Well there are so many other bands that experimented way more😂
I love you soooooo much
Linkin Park was a great band in terms of accessible experimentation. Very talented at writing melodies but they caved in to staying relevant on the billboards instead of being relevant musically. All that talent could've been used to come up with absolutely amazing albums having more sonic value than commercial. I understand Chester's depression but One more Light was not the way for everything to end. Instead they should've set the billboard aside for once and continued on the road of combining their creative forces for albums that'll be remembered and revisited for years to come.
How can someone perform at this level in almost every show? Man, Chester was one of a kind. Can't explain how much i miss this man.
1:26 - 1:35 always gives me insane shivers. AMAZING!
Same
I remember watching this live.. oh how the times change.
I remember watching it on Mtv.
Conor the Airman
That just sound so cool
Me too i didn't think it was that long ago
Hey Chester, I'm glad to see you one more time.
2010 Mike Shinoda looked like an Anime character
100% True I think he must bring it back again
Yes
Always did.
Xd
Dude he still does!
Chester with sun glasses means strong rock voice mode
Did not expect this upload. Still here for it. Love you guys!
Justin Pruett Why..?

Always there for it. Until I die.
Happy birthday to A thousand suns ! God bless Linkin Park and fans !
Outstanding band and people. One of the many reasons i started following them back in 2000 is that they are not like other alt-rock bands: no alcohol, smoking, drugs propaganda, no wild parties to feel miserable after, almost zero strong language in songs, polite and fun interviews, smart hobbies, family men. I mean they literally can be the example of what a good man should be.
Ummm i like LP but chester has been battling with drug and alcohol addiction
@@mommytin5907 each of us has own skeletons. Im sure Chester never meant to reveal the problems he was going through to the public.
@Proxima Read again what he wrote. Looks like you are the complete opposite of what he described for you to feel that offended. No alcohol, no smoking, no drugs, being respectful, polite, being a family man means being a loving person, even if you are not a family man you still can be a loving person but still. That's what makes a good man. Not an arrogant one who thinks he's relevant by thinking he's smarter.
@@mommytin5907 ,but only chester.
there was definitely a substance issue
Linkin Park is forever
You will always remain alive in our hearts
R.I.P The Legendary Chester Bennington
@Wolf Night In our hearts? (?
RIP Chester Bennington😥 1976-2017 for ever in my heart❤
There is literally no one that can match his vocal range and perfection especially LIVE. There are very very few bands I would buy a live album from and these guys are Top 10 well Chester Bennington's the rest can easily be replaced as you can tell 3 years later and LP will NEVER find someone worth a damn to fill in.
I'm not saying this guy is better or worse. That's subjective. But if you haven't heard them, you might like the band Spoken. That guy has a pretty awesome range, and does similar things going from a melody into a scream and back.
We all know how gifted Chester was. His voice was incredible, but to say no one can match him is absolutely not true. There are a few that have a similar talent and they crush it live
Telle Smith is was better, Matt heafy, corey Taylor, Tommy vext, Phil labonte, Jesse leach, Howard Jones, Adam d. Just to name a few that are better vocalists than Chester
@@wovenwar5 damn, y'all really can't see others opinion, deal with it and keep scrolling
@@redrum6862 but if your in the wrong, you need to be shown why you are in the wrong
It's amazing that they did this song PERFECTLY live. It was the best VMA performances I have EVER seen!
Linkin Park is what helps me through everything. God I love them
Try listening NEFFEX
If you are listening to this.
You have a good taste in music❤️❤️❤️
You truly do..
Berd I know, thanks! 😆
as do you!
So do you!
I love both of their voices together Mike and Chester Linkin Park are my Hero's
They truly sound like one voice! Perfectly matched! I bet people didn't realize they were both singing until they saw them. Miss Chester more than I can ever explain. 😢
Gotta lump in my throat and regrets at not seeing these guys live. Love and miss you Chester 😢
Same. I didn't appreciate their more electronic songs like this when I was younger and now I really like them 😭
I did not expect this.
I'm crying
You lived as a hero
You died as a legend
You screamed like a demon
You sang like an angel
RIP Chester Bennington 🖤
Hate that it has to be past tense.
Ctrl c and ctrl v its enough
OMG!! 😫😢😭 the truth 🙏🏼
Amen to that. Rest In Peace Chester. 😔
Damn.. That's one of the most epic comments I've read in my whole life.. Bro ❤
I remember watching this with big heart eyes for Chester. I've always had a huge crush on him almost my whole life. I was 20 when he died & realizing that I was starting adulthood without him in this world broke my heart.. I first saw them live when I was 13 & I was looking forward to finally seeing them again as an adult. I felt so lost after. I still do whenever I think about it.
Oh how we miss you, Chaz. 💔
Rest easy, Angel. 💕
Lucky you finding out about this band when they where active and seeing them live when you where 13, because I didn't find out about this band until the day chester died.
@@theintrovertoddball7463 I have older brothers who bought hybrid theory when it 1st debuted. I was almost 4 around that time so I've been listening to them almost my whole life. I'm thankful for my brothers lol
@@Alissageex13 ahh I see your brothers have good taste considering they bought it when it debuted.
I was 28 when chester died and we have always listened to their songs since 2000 there was always a fake news about his death but I was not prepared for the real deal. It is sad but we know he is in a better place now.
I was 29 when Chester passed I was 12 years old in 2000 when Hybrid Theory came out. I had just lost a friend to cancer 2 weeks before HT came out and it was my first battle with depression. LP saved my life
The lighting in this is amazing
I screamed a little cuz i thought it was 2019??? But then i read it again 😣 god how much i miss them
I know I thought the last two years were just a really bad dream for a second
It felt like we were just living in a fricking nightmare in hell(ahem...life) for two years till we saw the sudden light of hope...till we choked ourselves back to reality...
After celestial stars burn out their light can still be seen for years after they burn out. That's Chester his light is still shining as bright as ever and is showing us the way
Me too😢
YES
and sometimes I see Chester’s pictures in the fan accounts on Instagram, and there’s a thought in my head like “oh, he hasn’t been posting anything for so long, he should post this one” for a sec, but then I remember why he doesn’t post a thing anymore and it hurts so badly 💔😭
Man I miss Chester.
RIP my idol, my role model, my inspiration.
F :'(
Only sad reactions :/
Yes i know
Chester was, by design, meant for this in life. What an incredible human.
Mike and Chester vocal symmetry is utmost
We’d never get anything close to linkin park ever :,( rip Chester
Chester never died........He is still alive among the several people who are alive because of him
Perhaps several hundred, if you count all those who were saved from suicide by his voice and Linkin Park as a whole x he was the heart of the band, channeling their message to each and every one of us. Part of his spirit remains, as well as his DNA =)
Come on Mike, bring LP back on stage. You have a beautiful voice.
Gone but never Forgotten
A thousand suns is the MOST UNDERRATED album in EXISTENCE I swear to god listening to it all the way through is such a beautiful experience
Music isn't like that anymore, nice when u listen to an album all the way then get done and wanna go again, TOOL had couple like that, latterralus for 1
Try listen Tool's Fear Inoculum. That album is better than A Thousand Suns.
Bilguun Munkhbaatar yes i listen to Tool too and love their new album, but prefer a thousand suns just cause i'm a fan of the concept in general. i'm a huge fan of cold war/nuclear arms race type subject matter so a thousand suns it is for me :-)
A thousand interludes.
@@bilguunmunkhbaatar6841 I haven't heard it yet hate 2 say
I remembered when this aired. Even then i thought it was monumental
Occlehnorton I remember vividly watching this as a kid and it was the peak of good music for me honestly.
@Julie Michael video music awards 2010
@Julie Michael gotcha. Yeah pretty cool that they performed at the Observatory
Chester looking like a proper rockstar & Mike looking homeless with his trim 🤣
IKR lol the longer hair cut too because he looks so much better with it shorter. i'm used to the scruff though, he seems to have had it for a long time. normally i favor shaven, mostly at least, and less flannel. the way he used to look. i loved the red hair on him XD nowadays he looks warm comfy and cute.
😂😂😂
Hahaha mike😂
I hope I can see him singing in heaven
My heart stopped for a nanosecond when I misread the title for 2019 instead of 2010 😞

They were definitely on their A-game on this one!
They were awesome!

This is live performance perfection... I am so sad that I didn't see them live :(

The voice of the thousand suns :-')

And scream like a Demon 💕💕💕
The best song with what you say is Crawling. For me of course :)
BMTH
@@fhfzx9413 Ollie is and was good, but Chester was on a completely different level. Ive tried to compare and you cant. With a 3 octave tenner vocal range, the darkness inside to tear up the mic, and the heart to melt your mind, Chester is one of a kind. And well, arguably underrated by most and by far the best this world had ever seen.
Stop writing this cringe bullshit about angel/devil thing.
He was the best, and didn't deserve to talk about him like this.
Love drasstic vocal movement changes like he provided, tool is awesome and epic as well
All my respect to Chester. Rest it power my man
I remember watching this live on MTV and was ASTONISHED at how beautiful everything about this performance was. The skyline, the sunset, the way they had the band situated, the fans running up at the beginning, just everything was perfect. And even BETTER than all that…..the way they sounded!!!! UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!! It became my favorite song by them just because of this performance. And as most of the comments say, we will never let you go Chester.💕
When i saw the notification..my heart dropped..
I corrected the terrible way of my life with your songs. I'll never forget you.
Man thats deep 😭

everything will be ok!! relationships that become a happy ever after are most of the times product of children's tales. good things have an end and that's ok. whatever is ahead of you, i'm sure it will include different new opportunities for you to be happy. don't give up, especially on yourself. you're awsome and you are destined to great things. every chapter of our lives and every person that comes in eventually accompanies us through different phases and teaches us something important at the time, now it's time for another phase. keep confident and believe it's a good one! positive energy can only attract good things. take care of yourself and if you need time to heal, indepndent of how much, do it
Stay positive. Always look for the better you and try not to focus on the negative things of the past. Reach out to family and friends. They are there to hopefully provide support to help you heal into a greater you. May God give you blessings. 🙏🏻
