That looks like an area they sat around and knapped their tools. Reminds me when I used to hunt Kentucky tobacco fields for points. Such a variety. Great video Zach
Glad your back hope all is well an yes we missed you brother keep em coming I really enjoy watching real people dig up real things one of my favorite channels
Happy to have you back. Would love to have you come to my neck in the woods in Arkansas to do some sifting and digging around some bluffs and creeks. Plus digging some civil war relics
@@ZachByrd oh it is. We lived on a union civil war campsite that was used from 1861-1863 and found loads of bullets, buttons, coins, you name it. Also several Native American artifacts. Where we live now is south of there and where the Caddo Indians were at, I’ve got creeks, huge farmers fields and everything to check out. Also some bluff shelters that we’ve dug and found some untouched areas. On top of the mountain where I live there’s a spring that runs down the side and on top where the house is there’s flint, chert from the tip of the mountain near the bluffs edge all the way down to the spring. Anytime I take my tractor out and move some dirt I find some points. I recently used the ripper teeth on my box blade and dug up a fire pit. There was fire cracked rock in there and red flakes all over. You could see the outline of the fire pit in the ground
@@ZachByrd oh it is. I can’t wait till it warms up just a little bit to get out and do some creek walking, bluff digging, and get the disc up here to plow up on the mountain. It’s strange up here because the ground is so hard up here on the mountain that in the back in the woods I’ve found a Celt, and a scraper right on top of the ground, and flakes on top of the ground as well, right between the spring and the edge of the bluff
My family owns land that used to be an Indian village. My uncle found hundreds of artifacts and actually a flat stone and underneath the dirt piles of stone flakes around it. The creek on the property is so muddy that it's hard to see 5 inches down though.
Happy to finally have you back to brighten my day with your adventures in my younger days favorite activities!! Hope to see you more often now!! I hope 2022 brings you, Brandon, dad and all of the rest of the gang many many bucket list finds plus some you never dared to put on the list!!
I'm excited! Man that is a beautiful place! Kenneth usually sets the settings in our GoPro but I think there's a way to change how long the backlight stays on.
@@ZachByrd man I wish I could go poke around out there, my girls from Ga, almost moved to Cumming several years ago, kind of wish I did now. Other then the politicians Ga is real nice.
I have found lots of nice points digging in other peoples siftings. A lot of my points would go right through the screen yaw are using. I’ve been collecting Indian artifacts since 1967 . Lots of walking, digging, sifting. It gets in your blood 🩸. Your either into it or u ain’t. I have given a lot of my points away to kids. I love the expression on their faces. The Indian was a very skilled people. I just subscribed to your channel and I like it. Good luck 👍🍀 on your future finds.
This soil in Georgia is maddening. It doesn't fall through the sifter. You have to push it through and, so far, it does speed the process up much at all.
Check for hag stones. They have holes going through them. Goodluck for home and such. Irish would find them and the smaller stones can be used in jewelry and other products. Can't wait for the next video
Zach, used to arrowhead hunt with my Dad as kid. I saw something you missed as you were sifting the stones. While you found lots of flakes, you were tossing the tools they used to create the arrowheads away. At 9:38 seconds bottom right hand corner, you say "I get the big stuff out" you pick up at least one stone that looks like a tool. It had a flat butt and would easily fit in your hand. Since I can't attach photos here, I will go to your Facebook PM and show you what I mean.
Awesome Video Dude, those feeders to the river are the s**t, I found one over the summer in Cherokee County that has been incredibly productive for me, got my first drilled piece, a beautiful Savannah River point and heaps of nice pottery and in the really good spot the sand is so soft you can just sift with your hands all day long, I deleted the original video with the drilled piece because I gave to much away about location, been walking these north Georgia creeks for decades looking for a spot like that, I’d definitely like to see part two, btw that first piece definitely looked like a broke axe or something? Hope y’all kept it, thanks for sharing, GL&HH 👊🏹
Zach, man simply cut the bottom out of an old bucket then use it to look through. You can thank me later 😉 Oh and I was cringing watching you go so fast throwing off them “big pieces “ because they can be tools. Yes film please. That spring water is making me cold
Sift something instead of all that talking. I haven't seen you in awhile and I loved what u done in the past. O now your gonna sift. Tighten up bro and keep um coming.
aint it crazy? 10,000+ years of people living on the land and all they left behind are a bunch of carved rocks and in just a couple hundred years look at all what we will leave behind
Jesus died and on the third day came back from the dead for you believe and trust in him and ask forgive of your sins and Jesus will save you I promise..
i'm in AL, wanted to see some arrowhead discoveries, but when you started talking about murdering the poor groundhogs, you lost me. I can't imagine someone killing the poor groundhogs because they are just trying to survive on this earth, too. ....humans ruin everything. Nope, i'll find another channel... animal killing is deplorable....especially for no reason. There's human ways to encourage animals to "move" to another location...
Well when they’re holes break horses legs it can be a huge problem. Not to mention the damage they can do in land. They population needs to be monitored just like every other species we live with. Don’t be a baby
I want to see some groundhoggies do "Let's dance" - Young Guns. Me, I just block one hog hole with dirt. The other I have weighted cap under which I spray 91% isopropyl alcohol, toss in a soaked rag of same, light it and cap the hole. Nothing to see when they already buried themselves. But you mentioned Ghog dinner. That would be fascinating because I see a weeks worth of calories on these monsters. Yet to try squirrels, but old neighbor from Louisiana used to drop 'em for dinner.
Bout Fn time!

@@ZachByrd your welcome bud from Ontario Canada
Get a 5 gallon bucket, cut out the bottom and silicone a piece of plexiglas to the bottom. You'll see everything under the water easily.
We made one just last week
Man how dare you leave us that long again 😆 glad you’re back man.
Thanks! I've got some really great stuff coming. It's always hard for me to get out and film during deer season.

There are also some beautiful blue colored rocks. You should recolect what could be sold. So you get more for your effort
At the 7:34 mark you were centered over a broken side notched point.
Check for hag stones. They have holes going through them. Goodluck for home and such. Irish would find them and the smaller stones can be used in jewelry and other products. Can't wait for the next video
That location looks phenominal!
Just so ya know, the part about its good for your momma is why I sub :)
Ypu must be good if rocks cousteau put you on his hitlist. Great video I really enjoyed.
Try polarized sunglasses. You can see everything in the water , knocks out the glare
How’s it going guys!
Yes I would love to see your number two more time put in it probably means something good
My brother found the beast spring 😭💯💯💯💯💯
You haven't heard about "the bucket trick" have you? It's your new favorite way to hunt creeks. Wanna know what it is?
Plexiglass on the bottom of a bucket.

You done found all the Civil War relics in the county, now your gonna find all the Indian relics! 🤣 Take care
Haha. I'm still learning how to find the Native American stuff. Harder to find things when you don't have a machine beeping haha
Sure would like to see some ground hog recipes? I think there was a big head when you first put the camera underwater...
We'll be getting back over there this week.
Tru farther up .. budday
What spring is this and where? Selfish people dont share and there is plenty for others. I preserve groundhog!
Sifting? Where is Jeff?
