You’re very right in calling this song “derivative” - it’s the opening credits song to HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, a movie made in the 2000s but set in the early 80s, shot on 16mm, has great period production design… and I’m sure they were aping The Cars with this track
@@chrisratchford8153 if I could afford i’d shoot 16mm all the time… but it’s about $140 to shoot, process, & digitize a 100 ft reel, so I’m doing it less and less these days
The 16mm footage on your channel is really great. I have never shot 16 but I like shooting on Super 8 sometimes. I have one remaining Super 8 cartridge of Ektachrome in the fridge that I need to shoot sometime this summer. My dad is selling his 1968 Pontiac Catalina that he's had since 1967 so I think I may use that cartridge to get some footage of that car before it sells.
