People grizzle about no left armrest for driver. I joined 2 Yoga blocks ($12) with Velcro straps(not sure if they liked glue). Perfect to put in central tray for resting on longer trips. 11:28

      Hi Carlo,
Thanks for the comments I do appreciate it and yes the Hiace is one of the choosen vehicles for tradies because they have been around for so long and they work. Yes the inside has a lot of room for anything and is also very comfy. The engine doesn't dissapoint with good fuel economy especially in this current situation we are in with the high petrol prices. Yeah the media screen is older but in time Toyota will update them. Yes it wouldn't take long to get used to driving it around town.
Thanks mate and yes the Crusier is very luxurious. Thankyou I will enjoy my weekend and I hope you do as well and see you on the next one mate.

i'm so glad I stumbled on this video I do have this exact van I've just purchased it and had it built out for a camp van. I drove it two days ago for the first long drive about 250 km and I was surprised how much it sueded in the back, I've never driven a diesel before I'm curious it was quite alarming. It's almost felt like it was hydroplaning concerned about that. Have you had any comments questions about this from anyone else thank you and cheers for the video.

      Hi Christine,
Thanks for watching I do appreciate it and it helps myself and the channel moving forward so thankyou. The Hiace van's have always been known to be a bit sketchy mainly in the rain and not as safe and this latest one which was supposed to be better.
But sorry to hear you are concerned about it.
I thought being a camper van would make it drive better but obviously not. I haven't had anyone else say anything about it as yet but I will keep my ear out about it for you.

@@agautomotive my goodness I have to share with you in my ignorance naivety I've discovered why my van sways I was driving to a town maybe 20-30 km away and I noticed the same disturbing swaying. It almost pulls you in I realized, as always driving it happened as I was sort of drifting to the left solid white line, and then the lightbulb went on. Yes, I figured it out. It's some sort of safety mechanism, that when you veer close to the lane perimeters, it will pull you in to alert you to straighten up and get between the lines. I've never been really good at that staying between the lines that is ha ha ha my goodness I'm so glad I discovered this and I am in love with my van wanted to give a plug for these amazingmosquito netting magnet that I have they're brilliant under the bubble or something. They are called well worth every penny.

      @ameyc2,
      Hi Christine,
That's great news you worked out it was the lane keep assist and glad it was actually helping you. That's great you love your van and that's great those mosquito nets work well I will have to invest in one for home.
Thanks again Christine and enjoy your travelling around.

I am in Australia so I am not sure but if you google your local toyota dealer they can get order you one. Otherwise Google seconds hand Hi-Ace and see how you go there.

      Hi jaaaddd,
Thanks for watching I do appreciate it and it helps the channel. I thought it was more comfy than the older model but I guess it is only a work van so they should have made it a lot more comfortable for everyone.
      Thanks again

      Hi jaaddd,
Thanks for watching I do appreciate it. I found them to be more comfortable than the previous model but they are still a van and made for work. Thanks again 👍

I hired one for a week and also found the drivers seat extremely uncomfortable. Found the base hard and flat, so you basically sit on top of the seat instead of in them.
Most people are going to be spending long periods in the seat and I’d have thought Toyota would put a better effort into making them as comfortable as possible. Mind you I’ve driven a few Toyotas over the years and always ended up with back pain and fatigue afterwards!
